Sorry, Jay, but I'm stealing your line.

FUCK THE REFS!

Took a touchdown from seattle with that 'pass interference' call, and gave one to pittsburgh when the QB pulled the ball from under his STOMACH and put it over the line. they even reviewed it and they gave it to them. jeezus. i'm beginning to hate this.

Sorry Drew, the Refs were right

1 - The Seatle guy pushed off the defender. That's a no no

2 - Watch the play carefully. In the air, the ball looks like it comes over the line just a smidgen. The QB is then CLEARLY pushed BACKWARDS, and the ball lands just short of the line. For the ball to land that close while he's being pushed backwards, the ball must have been over the linea t one point, making it a clear touchdown.

The seattle guy did not push off the defender. He was feeling for where he was, because he was scrambling and watching the ball. He barely touched him.

I watched the play 15000 times. Roth was pushed backwards because it looked like he hit a wall, on in this case a seattle player. For him to pull it out from under his stomach? That's more than the length of one football.

And in the 3rd (I think) quarter? When Seattle made that really big pass that put them down to Pitt's 1 yard line? when they started at their own 2? Where was that 'holding' call that they called them for? NOBODY at ABC saw it. And the 'blocking below the waist' call? He was trying to tackle the guy who intercepted the pass! That's the only reason why the Steelers scored that last touchdown.

Dude, that was a push in the end, just look at his elbow. It's how he managed to get back to the ball. Plus, technically, just touching him IS pass interference if it's intentional.

Dude, FORWARD PROGRESS. If he's pushed back, the ball gets spotted where forward progress ends. THAT'S why it's a touchdown.

Hah, the holding call. They missed the lineman's arm around the defender's shoulder. It's there. The block is one of only a couple of bad calls (cause that fumble that was obvious was let go for a reason. If you want to complain about that, write the NFL about the replay rules and challenging down by contact)

Forward progress... the ball got stopped underneath Roth's stomach. That's as far as it got. Outside of that call, if both ABC and ESPN is saying 'this was a bad call' or 'i don't see how that could have been called a penalty' I think i have at least some grounds for my griping.
