I think there's a big lack of good female characters. Also, I think girls tend to be a little more complex than boys, so to write them properly takes skill that many don't have. Most people just make them really giggly or oversexed or something. Le sigh. Personally, I've just never really taken a liking to femmeslash. I don't really know why.
I LOVE THE ASHMORES SO MUCH. Shawn because he was on Animorphs, and Aaron because my friend forced me to watch the first season of Veronica Mars and he was the only good part. I do so love eye candy. But then they turned him into a drug dealer and sent him away. BUT THERE IS STILL ROOM IN MY HEART FOR YOU, AARON.

I really like those pictures. The first one is very A Clockwork Orange. (And I actually like how Panic! wears eyeliner. They use make up less like emo boys and more like a group of modern Bowies. Except with flowery bits instead of lightning bolts.)
I understand neither girls nor boys, so I'm just like, "HMMM. Femmeslash shouldn't be that hard, should it?" But apparently it is, because UST does not appear to be as prevalent with women as it does with men! Maybe my gaydar does not work for lesbians...? And it's hard to find well-written femmeslash, too! But mine shall be glorious! Or at least, somewhat believable, haha.

Everyone keeps making that Clockwork Orange reference! But I've never seen that movie, so I have no idea what people are talking about!
I totally agree with you on the femslash deal. As much as I love my boy slash, I hate how it's femme counter-part is kind of brushed to the side by a lot of people in this fandom.
I think part of the problem MAY be the characters- but sertainly not the entire problem. I'm tempted to make a sexist joke here, but I shall refrain.

I was like, "Ew... he's scary." but then I watched So NoTORIous, and I was like, "He's silly! And obvz gay!" 03. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Claire. I don't know, she's just a little too whiny for me. She's always so filled with OMGZ T33N4G3 4NGS+ and I'm like, SFTU PLZ. 04. The character I love that everyone else hates: Wow, I don't really know. Probably DL, because he doesn't get nearly enough love. 05. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Uh, Claire, I guess. I never really loved her, but I like her less now. 06. The character I would shag anytime: Sylar. I'd say Mohinder, but my parents would approve of him, and we can't have that, now can we
