A very interesting and philosophical perspective.....
I too come from a low socio economic neighbourhood but had opportunities as my parents allowed us to explore and participate in alot of different activities. In terms on career, people always are changing career, statstics say you change at least 6 times in your lifetime but i wouldnt say following that path is "holding you back" it is just exloring the world and your likes and dislikes. Generally people choose uni courses they want to do, and they will find out if they do or dont like it and make a change but that is all life experiences and shouldnt be seen as a negative. There are various values, including exporation as well as commitment that people aspire to and there is no set time limit on this.

My life could have lead so many different paths and i could write a book on the changes and reasons why and how, but sometimes we need not pver philsophies our life experiences.

Live for the moment, have dream and have goals, aspire to reach them.
