IC'ly, they've just... never been Averillix's favorite animals. I suppose that she's had a rough time with them since she was a little girl - she doesn't like the sound they make, nor does she like the fact that they tear up her gardens and use them as kitty litter boxes.
She also feels that they're less loyal than dogs - she's seen quite a few people with scratches on hands and whatnot that they're "loving" pets have done. Not nice creatures, in her mind, even the kittens. Circe's creepiness does not help...
OOC'ly, I was thinking about Averillix and trying to figure out some trait about her that would kind of be a huge flaw. She's an optimist, almost eternally (well, until now), always bright and giggling and nice to people, and she seemed to love everything and everyone. Having her be terrified of cats - even kittens - seemed like it'd be a fun fear to play out with her, if the time and opportunity arose.
I have a fear of birds. Pyro-player likes to make it into a GIANT WEAKNESS because he is mean. Fortunately, I manage to function most of the time when he is not MOCKING me with the BIRDS.
Did I mention that he is mean? I have sympathy for Avex and her cats.
When Forge killed her flowers on the day she went cooky, she went and attempted to track down Jean's cat for the rest of the day. Closest she's ever going to be to actively pursuing a cat.
Since I painted myself into a corner by trying to clarify... XD First the question of the Brendan grief.
Averillix already felt pretty crappy about the fact of her breaking things off with Brendan. Sure, she was kind've upset about the lack of intimacy between them, but since they went through so much - with him leaving the Brotherhood for her and risking his life and all - she really could never say that she didn't love him.
The fact that she felt pressed between her responsibility toward her students and the school and sticking with him and being a major bad rolemodel wasn't fun either, but to have him die ... a day? two days? afterward just kinda set her grief meter to max
( ... )
Sorry I haven't sent any questions your way sooner. I've had some trouble thinking of things to ask, and I'm trying to work my way back into things again. I kinda wished whe had the chance to RP around one another a little more before the one from last night, but in light of what happened and past experiences, what's Averillix's thoughts when they come to Amara? It's sad to see what she's had to go through lately. I'm trying lately to push Amara as someone who can be talked to. Not exactly a counselor or anything, just a friendly ear. In the end, I guess I'm wondering if you can picture them as being friends on that level?
Amara is still Averillix's friend, don't worry. :D With this whole situation, though, she was just... really at a loss. She didn't feel like anyone could really understand her, because almost no one knew Brendan. The trees, however, understood her, and Nisa understood the trees and was the first person to start bringing her things; therefore, in Averillix's mind, no one else understood or cared.
She just needs her time to herself, for now, I think. Avex still really sees Amara as a really good friend of hers, closer than the general friendliness that she exudes to other people - kinda like Melissa. She'll probably end up talking to her in a few days and apologizing for going beau-coup crazy at her. ;)
She's not upset about it or anything. :D She thinks it's good that Nisa's friends are helping her to learn English. She is, however, a tad bit weary of who Nisa's "friends" are, concidering the situation with Deadpool in the park... >_>;
Well, up until recently, the fact that she's SO hell-bent on thinking that everyone is a good person, and that she was so devoted to Brendan - despite the fact that he was a former terrorist and all that jazz. She was in love and everything, true but...
Averillix is kind've like a deer. Very, very stupid, and when she gets caught in headlights, she would just freeze, and not know what to do. Another thing, I think, is the fact that she doesn't seem to think that she's capable of doing wrong. Her actions are often done with the intent of being good, or with her thinking such. It's hard to try and keep her *out* of trouble when she's so prone to getting in it.
