It hasn't been all that long since Sean left Bella, the woman is still curled on the floor, her tear stained face now dry and slack in the throws of drunken sleep. She's dressed in nothing more than cutoff shorts and a tank top, her door is still unlocked and there are four empty vials by the empty glass of her drink tray.

Toxin has had one hell of a day. A talk with Magneto late last night, wake up in Derek's room the next morning and Sabella is gone, along with some of the recruits. So she does the only thing she can. The door is opened, and Toxin slides into the room on silent feet. Dressed in sneakers, jeans, a black top and a jean jacket, she pads over close to Bella and squats down, placing her arms on her thighs for balance.

Bella doesn't hear the door or the footsteps headed in her direction. Somewhere in the back of her mind, those senses are tingling, telling her to get up and move, there's someone in the room with her. But Bella's mind is incapable of responding at the moment. So remains as she is, unmoving, uncaring. Toxin could plunge a knife into her heart and the only thing she'd do is roll over and thank her for it.

Toxin could possibly kill Bella at this point, and Magneto would thank her for it. But then she'd have to kill Magneto. Reaching out, she grabs Bella's shoulder and rather unceremoniously rolls her onto her back. "So. You sneak off the island without a word, and when I come to look for you you're drunk as a skunk." There's something different about Toxin. Bella has heard this tone before, back when Toxin wasn't speaking to her because of one James Proudstar.

Bella is rolled. The jerking motion of one shoulder smacking against the ground is enough to jolt her from sleep, eyes blinking open, narrowed up at Toxin. "I didn't leave word 'cause I didn't want to make you chose." Her tone is thick with drink and annoyance that she'd been woken. "If you've come to plead his case, I don't want to hear it."

If there was any sympathy for Bella's plight in Toxin's eyes, it's gone now. "I'm not here to plead his case. I just want to know if you really know what the hell you're doing." Her hands come together and crack her knuckles, then she drops one knee to the floor. "And I am curious how you plan on keeping those kids out of reach of the police."

"What the hell I'm doing is saving my life before she kills us all. I have no place on that Island any longer. You know it as well as I do. And I sure as hell wasn't leaving those kids there to suffer his insanity." Bella groans and rolls into a sitting position, pressing fingers against the sides of her nose. "I'll do whatever I have to. New faces, new backgrounds, new fingerprints. Whatever."

Toxin narrows her eyes. "So because you're not his girlfriend anymore, you're leaving. Because you've been through a hellhole and he's not understanding. You should know better than to expect him to be understanding." She straightens up and rises to her feet. "Good Lord, you two are enough to drive a person insane. The both of you. He hurt you, now you want to hurt him, and he'll hurt you back."

"I haven't been his girlfriend for quite awhile and I've stuck around. But I am through taking the emotional abuse and letting it roll off of my back. I don't expect him to understand. But I do expect to be respected. And that's not something he's capable of." Bella remains seated, annoyance growing. "I'm sorry that you're in the middle of this, but you can rest assured that it's over now."

Toxin pounces on that little tidbit, her eyes taking in the vials and glass. "So if it's all over, what is it that has you smashed?"

"Just because it's over, doesn't mean I can't mourn what was. I'm not sure what to do with my life anymore, and that's depressing." Bella says and pushes her fingers into carpet to try and rise. "And I wanted to go to sleep immediately."

"And instead of telling me you're leaving and letting me make my own choice, you sneak off and basically force my hand." Toxin crosses her arms over her chest. "You're not sure what to do with your life. Well, that makes two of us. Who did you pull off the island with you? Cain, obviously. Brendan's gone too."

"I didn't want you to feel as though your hand was being forced." Bella really can't take the arguing right now, gripping her head to try and stave off a headache. "Which is why I didn't go to you right then. I have Cain, Brendan and Toad. Yes Toad." Before Toxin can ask her to clarify that last one. "Padraig, Amara, Kalin and Lillianne were all offered but none of them were there when the boat left."

None of Bella's choices appear to surprise Toxin, except that last one. Toad? "You took who?" And she's just gotten a lot quieter.

"You heard the list Toxin." Bella replies and finally manages to get to her feet. "Listen. I took the people who are under appreciated and who constantly are forced to feel like they don't belong. They made their choice. End of story.”

"Bullshit. This whole move was all about you, and the people you wanted with you. If there's one thing you and Magneto have in common, it's that you're both selfish to a fault." Toxin shakes her head and starts to back away. "I said it to Magneto, and I'm saying it to you. I'm sick of losing you both when you have a snit and decide to take off." And she turns and heads for the door.

"This isn't a snit. I'm leaving for good. And I will not be turning back." Bella says in no uncertain terms. "I'm selfish yes, but I can admit it. That is the difference." She arches a brow, watching as Toxin heads towards the door. "So you've decided to join us in our ways? We must have been a terrible influence."

Toxin turns around, one hand on the doorknob. "Oh no, dear Bella. What I'm doing has nothing to do with your influence. I serve the Cause, and I stay with Magneto for one simple reason. When I went to him before you ever left, and he told me he needed me." Opening the door, she is through and shuts it behind her.

Bella smirks and lifts her chin, dignity in the face of losing her best friend. "And I suppose all those times I told you meant nothing then. Do what you have to for you and for the Cause. I won't look down on you for following your heart." She watches the door shut and smiles sadly. "Besides." she says to the door, as though Toxin could hear through it. "It was only a matter of time before you left me for him." A sigh as Bella looks back towards the cart. Now, where are those other vials.

toxin/goodbye
