Muhahahaha, no wonder so very few people have an idea who my ichiban is. It's all because I keep translating my non-ichiban idols' stuffs like this, see?

Wow, what great chemistry between Jun and Takeuchi Yuuko *give Nino a nudge, saying, hey there, you died of jealousy yet?* I'm so looking forward to this drama *__*

Falling in love as soon as they met

The beginning of a dazzling romance

A refreshing love story, perfect for summer, is soon starting!

Encounter
As Taiga got himself suspended in midair, the one who came to his rescue was…!?
Trying to rid himself of resentment towards his work, Taiga went skydiving for a change, but a strong wind unexpectedly made him lose control. Down he crashed, and got himself hung up in midair on the copse of a forest. The one who happened to pass by and find him in that situation was none other than Shiori. Climbing up the tree, she boldly rescued Taiga from his predicament. From that day onwards, Shiori is always in Taiga’s mind.

Confusion
Shiori is a fan of Taiga’s dad…!
In response to Taiga’s 「I wanted to meet you again」, Shiori said 「Me too」. But those words were merely because Shiori is a fan of Taiga’s father. What’s more, to Taiga, who at that time has no work to do and is grumbling about his life, Shiori’s visit to his father’s agency - which, incidentally, is also his workplace - is nothing less than a slap in the face. Immediately Taiga cringed away from Shiori, but it was also precisely at that moment that he truly fell in love…!

Reunion
Seeing Shiori again on a sandy beach!
What is behind the tears at that time?
Taiga, who couldn’t forget Shiori, went back to the forest where they first met. There, he caught sight of Shiori getting off a bicycle and walking towards the sea. Just as he intended to call out to her, suddenly, Shiori broke into tears. But as soon as Shiori noticed Taiga coming near, she quickly wiped her tears away and smiled at him.

Kusunoki Taiga
A second generation actor whose father is a renowned actor all throughout Japan. Nonetheless, he is getting fed up with doing only works that were given to him only because of his father’s fame.

Kimura Shiori
A mysterious beauty. She has a cheerful, straightforward personality. She might seem careless sometimes, but actually is quite reliable.

Taiga (Matsumoto) is an unsuccessful second-generation actor who happened to have a famous actor for a father. Through an accident, he met and instantly fell in love with an older woman (Takeuchi)……
And then it bloomed in the heart of the troubled young man, a one-sided love for this older woman whose cheerful smiles seem to be clouded with not a grain of everyday distress!?
Her image in his eyes is so beautiful to the point of heart breaking…!
July 19th, the new “Getsu 9” drama series will start at long last, unfolding in itself the extraordinary love story starring Matsumoto Jun and Takeuchi Yuuko.
To you who can’t wait for the drama to start, we present the two’s special conversation. Enjoy!

Matsumoto Jun & Takeuchi Yuuko’s sparkling talk about the story and the romance between Taiga & Shiori!

Jun: We have a lot of fun on the filming set!
Yuuko: That’s true! There’s this interesting scene that depicts Taiga kun and Shiori’s encounter. It’s the first time I ever saw the main actor suspended in midair for such a long time (laugh).
Jun: It’s the scene when I went skydiving then got swept away by the wind and ended up being caught on a tree, right (laugh)? The tree’s branch kept shaking terribly back then. Obviously, before that scene, I had never been hung up in the middle of a forest, with that many trees all around me, so I couldn’t help freaking out a little bit at how strong the wind was shaking the branch… And yet, the two of them first met each other in such a situation. As one would expect, Omori Mika san’s script is amazing.
Yuuko: It makes people wonder in which direction their love is heading with such a starting point, isn’t it? When people get stuck in some extraordinary circumstance… I’m not saying it’s necessarily a case of misattribution of arousal, but the circumstance is most likely to trigger something.
(T/N: “misattribution of arousal”, or 吊り橋の理論 in Japanese (lit. “suspension bridge theory”) is a psychology process in which people misinterpret the source which caused their arousal. I suggest you consult wikipedia for more information)
Jun: If we go with misattribution of arousal, then it’s only true for Taiga’s case, because he’s the only one who got hung up on the tree (laugh)!
Yuuko: (laugh). Omori san is truly a brilliant scriptwriter to be able to incorporate such unforeseeable amusements into the story.
Jun: What’s more, if I have to decide whether or not Taiga kun’s character is similar to mine, I’d say that we are indeed alike. I’d better not announce straightaway the points that make us the same though. Just that, I surely got to discover the kind of image Omori san has about me (laugh).
By the way, Takeuchi san, what do you think about Taiga kun?
Yuuko: Let me see… Well, first of all, I’d introduce the things that do not involve Matsumoto san.
Jun: Okay (laugh).
Yuuko: He’s a tsundere type of guy. He’s a second generation actor and is not quite confident about his work. He has come to a point when he’s not even sure about the meaning of all the work he has done thus far. But Taigan kun has a line that reads 「I have money and free time」, right?
(T/N: I hope that you are all familiar with the term “tsundere”. If you’re not, well, it means the kind of character that is cold and sharp on the outside but is actually kind and affectionate. For more information, maybe you’d want to rewatch a few Shukudai kun eps)
Jun: He does.
Yuuko: He is good at getting on people’s nerves, isn’t he (laugh)?
Jun: (burst out laughing)
Yuuko: I remember his 「Heh~, well then, getting a part-time job is fine too~」 line, too. But when one takes a closer look, there is a delicate part of his character that would capture the heart of anyone who cares enough to look at him, including both Shiori and me. Also, Taiga kun, once he starts thinking about something, he won’t ever stop. Makes people have this urge to shout out to him 「Don’t drift off all by yourself」.
Jun: The Shiori role that Takeuchi san plays has a really nice feeling about her. Or I guess you could say she has this refreshing image. This is my first time co-starring with Takeuchi san though, my impression about you is…
Yuuko: What is it!?
Jun: … that you are a wonderful person.
Yuuko: Uwah~ there he goes~ (laugh)!
Jun: No, no, I ensure you it’s the truth!
Yuuko: But, just then, when I touched the watch that came with your costume set, you hastily wiped away my fingerprints…
Jun: No, no (agitated)! That time, the dial of the watch was somehow quite blurry. And I thought that I just couldn’t leave it alone, lest anyone should see it…
Yuuko: You could have said, I’m sorry, Takeuchi got her fingerprints all over it (laugh)!
Jun: As I’ve said, it wasn’t because of you (laugh). It was an honor of that watch to have been touched by you. I’d love to give it to you right away as a present even!
Yuuko: Really!?
Jun: But, it’s not mine (laugh)… Come to think of it, Taiga is also the type who unconsciously plays around with people like this, and he would feel quite good about that too. Shiori san’s older in age, but, in my case for example, I don’t pay that much attention to age difference when it comes to romance, other than maybe a little more respect if my partner is older.
Yuuko: I think it’s good if your partner is someone that can earn your respect.
Jun: That’s right. What matters the most is that person’s true self. Like, they have some quality that I myself don’t, or that we are practically on the same wavelength. I don’t have a specific set of standards that define the kind of person I’d fall for.
Yuuko: I don’t have those kinds of 「He definitely must have this」 standards in love either.
