I have sleeping problems when I'm stressed out. I don't like to take sleeping pills either, so I take Valerian root before I go to bed. you can get bottles of it at any drugstore in the vitamin section. it stinks like hell but it really helps knock you out, and it's natural so I don't feel weird about taking it often.
for some people you have to take it for a while before it starts to take effect, but for me it started working right away -- you should check it out.
