OKay so this is going to seem like a stupid post to a lot of people, but its freaking me out, in the past....7 minutes since I got home, ive received 21 friend requests from Myspace, oh wait, make that 22 I just got another one
( Read more... )
i've been getting more and more requests all the time. it's really irritating, but not as many as 22 in a few minutes.
if you search for "myspace friend adder" or "myspace friend bot," you will see countless applications and websites whose only function is to ask random people to be your myspace friend. it's mostly for marketing purposes, whether music, porn, or other crap. maybe your profile is coming up first in one of these applications? or perhaps like you said, you are linked somewhere, in which case you could temporarily make your profile private.
sadly the only real solutions are to start a new profile from scratch or quit myspace altogether. bleh.
that happens to me when i rotate into the 'featured friend' section on the log in page. it happens from time to time. just delete em all and itll be over in a couple days. you could always set it to only let people request you if they know your email or last name. but that gets kinda annoying if someone just meets you or remembers you from childhood and wants to add but doesnt know those things ....

set your account to only let people request you if they know your last name or email. If people find you from your childhood or whatever, they'll just have to message you first. That way you can filter the dorks trying to be your friend.
or upload some nasty HTML code that crashes people's browsers. That's always fun.
