Hi Natalie, I hope that this diet plan works out for you. Personally I have never been a huge fan of commercialized diets (that Body Makeover thing we did last year was crazy - I did not even last 3 days on that :p ), and have seen my dad try every single one under the sun and fail. I know that once you start working out regularly it will be hard when you miss a day :o. Pretty soon you will be coming to kickboxing :).
Well, even if a person IS trying a commercialized diet you should still encourage them, don't criticize the diet they choose. Just because something doesn't work for someone doesn't mean it won't work for someone else. I have spoken to lots of people who have done SBD and it has worked for them, including my coworkers who are doing it with me. And yes I have tried lots of things before, but why not keep trying? It's better than just sitting around on the couch getting fat and doing nothing.
No offense or anything, I just get kinda irritated when people are constantly rolling their eyes when I tell them what plan I am on...like "Yah right, like that's going to work"
It's much more helpful to just encourage a person and the plan that they choose instead of planting a seed of "you're going to fail." I know you would never purposefully say that but it kind of came across that way.
Going back and reading my last response I realize I came off a little too sensitive to your reply...I apologize. I guess I know that generally speaking commercialized diets don't work but I am very motivated right now and this plan is so much easier to follow than anything I have ever done before. Not to mention it really teaches you how to eat healthy, not having to count points or eat certain things at certain times of the day.
Anyway, sorry if I came across a little too edgey. I know you love me and wouldn't try to discourage me on purpose.
