He also had china at the luncheon that was inspired by Lincoln's china. He's harkened back a lot to him in the last couple of months, and I think it's because of the strength and foresight that Lincoln had to put back together a country that was strongly factioned and falling apart.

I was working during the actual swearing-in, but I pulled the video up on msnbc.com and watched that way. I started watching before the official party came out onto the balcony, and didn't leave work until the end of Obama's speech. Then I went home (listening to the benediction on the radio) and watched the rest of the coverage. I'll always remember it.
