It's raining men and Russian bots

It seems those pesky Russian bots are at it again. Two have attached themselves to my LJ recently. If any bot barnacles appear on your friends' list, do report them here and LJ Support will investigate and suspend accordingly.

Lately, I've been in the company of men other than Mr. Nite.

The plumber, the plasterer and the termite guy... )

Ahaha!!! I have to say Russian boots would've been far more entertaining than "bots."

Is one of those bots called aznezd?
Because I got this friend request not long ago and I saw it had friended several people I knew so I wasn't suspicious but now it's posting in Russian...

The fact that it's posting in cyrillic (Russian) sounds suspicious to me. These bots pick up names from communities, so you will see a few people you do know on their friends' list.

nympholept seems to be the expert on these things. She's been keeping an extensive list of reported Russian bots. The first link in my post will take you to it.

I'd report aznezd to LJ support and let them look into it. If it is a bot, they'll suspend the account. If not, they'll let it be. It couldn't hurt.

My goodness, that's a lot of stuff going on for one house! They've been banging away at my place, too, because the hot water has broken 4 times already this past winter. Not that it isn't warmer here, finally, but stepping into the spray of ice-cold water was no fun at all!

Yikes! A cold shower in the winter is NOT a good thing. Sounds like a faulty hot water heater. Hope they replaced it.

We've seen so much of the plumber over the course of the year, I've gotten to know his dad as well, a former WWII veteran. He's also loaned my mom some DVDs to watch (kohaku uta gassen) and even told me about a good takeout place, only a few blocks away. It helps take the sting out of the repair charges. *g*
