I went to work today at 4. Come to find out, I dont work until 6:30. So I had to walk all the way back to the school. It sucked really bad. It was really cold and now my hair is all frizzy

That line in Vanilla Sky was meant as in the sweet and sour werent coming from the same place. They mean, without having bad shit happen to you from time to time, you take for granted the good. I think to infer that to have a good relationship you have to have horribly bad or 'sour' moments to appreciate the good is fallacious. You have plenty of bad elsewhere in your life, you could save relationships for the good.
