Title: Oh, Those Rumors
Pairing: Jongdae/Jongin
Rating: PG-13
Length: 2.1k
Summary: The large house is empty without Jongin beside him. Yixing and the kids make for a fun substitute though. (photographer!au)

The morning sunlight is streaming in through the opened curtains and it makes Jongdae unconsciously whine at the loss of warmth that’s usually surrounding him at this time of day. He’s not used to waking up in an empty bed and three dogs huddled at his feet. He’s used to warm arms surrounding him and a nose buried in his hair. He feels wiggling at his feet and he opens up an eye to see Jjangah already standing and staring at him expectantly. He gives a small smile and what he receives in return is the puppy crawling on top of him to get to his face and lick his cheek affectionately.

Jongdae laughs at the action, her two older brothers waking up and giving him the same morning kisses he wishes Jongin would give instead of his kids. “I wonder what we’re going to do today instead,” he mumbles aloud, turning onto his back so all three puppies can lay on whatever body part they desire, “Your dad’s still gone.”

Jongin is an increasingly famous businessman in the fashion world, starting out as a model when he was eighteen and working his way up through college and the industry. Their first meeting wasn’t even supposed to happen if Jongdae wasn’t the photographer for Jongin’s first photoshoot. Jongdae was an aspiring photographer then, and he immediately asked Jongin his number after that fateful day. He had never seen such perfection in a human body before Kim Jongin.

Jongdae frowns toward the ceiling recalling why he’s waking up to an empty bed instead of one full of gorgeously sun-kissed skin. It’s only day three of four, and he doesn’t know if he can last another day without his unofficial boyfriend next to him. He sighs at the reminder, looking down to the puppies who are staring at him intently. He gives them a half-hearted smile. “Want to go outside?” He chuckles at the response he receives, Jjanggah and Monggu jumping off the bed and Jjanggu attempting but falling off instead. He climbs out after them, putting on Jongin’s rare, fuzzy Appa slippers from the show Avatar: The Last Airbender and his silk robe.

“Let’s go outside.”

Jongdae watches with a fond smile on his face as the three puppies run around in the large yard. They look incredibly happy and he wishes he could be a part of their lives forever. He smashes the palm of his hand against his forehead at the absolutely abnormal and full of cheese thought.

“Do I need to go and fetch you a psychiatrist?” Yixing suddenly questions, and he groans at the question. Yixing is Jongin’s right-hand butler, his right-hand man being Lu Han who’s at the same meeting as he is, out of town.

When Jongdae looks to his side, the seemingly innocent smile with the prominent dimple is what greets him and he sighs. “No, Yixing. There’s no need.”

“Shall I call upon cupid then?”

“Yixing-”

“Or perhaps a medical doctor instead.”

Jongdae stares at his friend completely bewildered. “What even goes on in your brain?”

Yixing’s smile brightens and he leans in to whisper into his ear, “Magical things,” before they both suddenly burst into laughter. The puppies pay them no mind and when they quiet down, Yixing looks at him thoughtfully. “You do not need to be here, Jongdae.”

“I know,” Jongdae instantly replies with a small smile on his face.

“Then why are you here?”

“Because Jongin asked me to be here.”

A moment of silence passes by them and Jongdae can feel Yixing’s inquisitive stare directed at him. He has every right too. Jongin has only ever let him stay one night in the entirety of their lives together. The younger always stayed at his apartment, finding his large house too suffocating, and Jongdae understands it. The huge space is lonely and it only makes him miss Jongin more.

“There’s only one day left, Jongdae,” Yixing helpfully reminds him with a quiet murmur before he’s leaving the area to go back inside the house, “It’ll go by quickly.”

Jongdae smiles back at him gratefully, watching as he retreats into the house to prepare their breakfast. “Thank you, Yixing,” he calls out, only to laugh at the response he receives in return.

“I can still call a psychiatrist, cupid, or medical doctor for you! Just give me the word!”

Jongdae’s busy scrolling through old pictures saved on his laptop. He’s lying on the couch, a pillow propping up his upper body with Jjanggah on his chest. He’s petting her absentmindedly as he relives memories of the past with Jongin - a picture of Jongin at his very first photoshoot looking extremely nervous, a picture of Jongdae with thick-rimmed glasses after Jongin convinced him to take a picture weeks later, and a picture of the two of them together messing with the camera.

“Do you need anything else?” Yixing suddenly calls out, and Jongdae tilts his head back enough to see the upside-down image of the other already standing by the doorway holding his bags. He smiles at the butler.

“No. Thank you for helping today.”

Yixing gives him a cute smile before he waves, turning and leaving the house until the next morning. When Jongdae hears the door lock click, he looks back down to Jjanggah who instinctively licks at his chin demanding attention. He smiles down at the puppy as he pets her head, wondering where her brothers are but paying no mind to it as he continues to scroll through more pictures on his laptop.

He’s still a photographer, but with Jongin’s intense history of being possessive and easily jealous, he’s had to limit the amount of clients and companies he can work with. Now, he basically works for Kim Industries and he’s glad he’s a Kim himself. It makes it easier with having no need to explain his relation to Jongin even if everything about them is speculation and nothing true.

“Your dad looks handsome, right?” Jongdae suddenly asks Jjanggah as he turns her head in the direction he points at. She just stares at the screen, seeming to interpret the picture presented to her, before she barks at it twice, causing him to laugh. She ends up jumping off of him because of his constant shaking and she whines up at him.

“I’m sorry, Jjanggah,” he chuckles out, leaning over the couch to look down at her. He hears the door open and he thinks it’s Yixing because he always happens to forget something when he leaves Jongin’s house. “Go to Monggu and Jjanggu,” he softly says, watching with a fond smile as she barks up at him before running off around the couch. He sighs when he hears her fussing over something, pouting as he closes his current folder to open up the newest one he compiled of his shots of the models with Kim Industries.

He hums when he hears keys settling into the little bowl on the little bar connecting the kitchen and the living room. “Did you forget something again Yixing?” He hears a bark in response and he frowns as a result. He’s about to ask another question again when he scrolls down some more and sees another shirtless photo of Jongin in the file. “Why does Jongin even need to model still? He’s head of the company and can just be shirtless for me all the time.”

He freaks when he sees Jjanggah peering down at him after settling on top of his head. “Jjanggah!” he yelps, causing the puppy to whine at the screech. She jumps off of his head onto his stomach and then the floor and he has to close the laptop to ensure the files’ safety in it. He looks back shocked to see Jongin standing there smiling goofily down at him with his tie loosened and top button undone.

“You want me to be shirtless for you all the time?”

Jongdae gapes at the younger man, not expecting him to be standing there before him or to actually hear his innermost thoughts. “What are you doing back so early?” he manages to get out as he watches Jongin take off his suit jacket and toss it onto the other couch, rolling up his sleeves afterwards. It’s then that Jongdae notices the thin sheen of sweat covering the other male’s forehead and neck. “Did you run home or something?”

A rich chuckle leaves Jongin’s throat and he smiles at the sound. “Kinda.” He eyes the position of the other on the couch. “Reviewing your latest masterpieces?”

Jongdae laughs as he moves further down the couch so Jongin can fit in behind him with his legs propped up on the coffee table next to them, letting him lean against a damp chest as his arm comes to rest around his shoulders. He hums as he reaches for the tie behind him and twirls it around his finger, opening up his laptop again to resume his work. “Yeah,” he eventually responds back, hearing another chuckle leave Jongin’s mouth.

“Chosen the ones yet?”

“Not yet,” he murmurs back, sighing contently when he feels Jongin leave soft kisses behind his ear, “Why did you rush home? I was fine here.” He feels Jongin’s chest expand as he takes in a deep breath.

“I knew you would be fine here,” Jongin murmurs into his ear, “I just missed you and the kids.”

Jongdae laughs at the words, tilting his head back enough to look up at Jongin’s naturally dark eyes. “And the kids?” A pout forms on the younger’s lips and he pulls on the tie wrapped around his hand so he can kiss it off of him.

“I’m constantly worrying about my babies,” Jongin murmurs against his lips and they’re oh so soft.

“Mhm,” he hums back, licking at his bottom lip before smiling and pulling away. Jongin whines at the loss but lets him do what he wants, settling against his chest again to look through his pictures. “We were fine here. Yixing still kept coming over to help with house chores and everything.”

“That’s good to know.”

Jongdae sighs contently, marking the pictures he thinks makes it into the final round. He and Jongin never explicitly talk about their relationship status, but constantly going to the other when things were tough and they were lonely makes Jongdae want to think there’s more to it than friendly status.

“Lu Han said he could handle the rest,” Jongin eventually blurts out, and Jongdae feels a hand rubbing his side almost affectionately, “So I looked over everything they were going to be discussing tomorrow and threatened Lu Han a year’s worth of salary if he messes anything up before rushing back home to you.”

A sudden flip happens in Jongdae’s heart and he doesn’t know if Jongin means it or not. He doesn’t stop scrolling and marking pictures but he feels like he’s going to explode if Jongin doesn’t elaborate on his explanation. He wants more and he doesn’t know if he’s ever going to get it.

“Seeing you here doing your work and talking to Jjanggah made me feel things I first felt when you first told me my skin was beautiful,” Jongin murmurs against his ear, leaving a butterfly kiss on the shell of it, “It completely warmed me all over.”

“I’m glad you don’t need a sweater then,” Jongdae mumbles back jokingly even as a blush rises up his cheeks. He watches as a tanned hand removes itself from his side to reach forward and close his laptop, moving to place it gently on the coffee table beside them. Jongdae moves with him as he lets go of the turquoise tie, becoming increasingly confused when Jongin places a finger under his chin and guides him to face him. He’s not expecting the warm gaze full of hidden desires that face him, and he gasps right before Jongin moves in to place a chaste kiss on his lips.

Eyes close and Jongdae feels like he’s on a cloud, soaring through the skies because this is the simplest kiss they have ever shared, the most pure of them all and he can’t help but chase the plump lips when they separate. He hears that warm chuckle again and when he opens his eyes, Jongin has this amused look dancing in his own. “What?” he breathes out and he realizes he has a death grip on the younger’s tie.

“Want to make those rumors come true?”

Title: Not the Final Fantasy
Pairing: Jongdae/Sehun
Rating: PG-13
Length: 2k
Summary: Jongdae is stuck between the past and future. (finalfantasy!au)
Warnings: [spoilers]blood, action, mythical beasts from the game

Jongdae watches as a familiar face walks into the cavern, pale skin looking a shade darker than usual. He smiles as he cleans a cup, getting it ready for his favorite customer. He notes the pair of guns attached to the man’s thighs as he walks up to him, passive expression hinting a way towards happiness. “It seems like you’ve been having a blast out there, Sehun,” he greets as the man plops down on a stool in front of him, guns and chains rattling at the movement of his body.

“How could I not?” he responds back with a hearty laugh, taking the glass of the classic Gae Bolg drink. “The swarm of monsters recently is giving me a great workout after months of basic inactivity.”

Jongdae laughs at the response, wiping down the counter as he eyes the bob of Sehun’s Adam’s apple as he drinks the cocktail. The other has only started visiting this town recently, taking refuge at the nearby inn until the swarm of monsters dies down. They don’t even know why this is happening, but they think it has to do with the sudden appearance of the large crystal miles away along with the smaller ones showing up wherever they think is convenient. Either way, Jongdae is glad it showed up. He wouldn’t have been able to meet Sehun otherwise. “You do look more built up than usual,” he comments after giving the man a once over, “Thinking about switching weapons sometime soon? Bullets cost a lot.”

Sehun shrugs in front of him. “I’ve been strengthening my magic usage as well. I think I’ll be fine.”

“I see,” Jongdae lets slip out, putting an elbow on the counter and leaning his head onto his closed fist. He scans the cavern again and there are only two other people in there minding their own businesses. “How many have you killed so far?” He thinks it’s becoming depressing how they can talk about the deaths of live beings like it was the weather, but that’s the way of life in the world they live.

“Two behemoths, a couple of those wolves, and a bunch of those weird flailing bird penguin things.”

Jongdae laughs at the description, amusement filling his eyes. “You mean those Gremlins?”

A wave of a hand in his face is all he sees before he sees the same amusement reflecting back at him from Sehun’s eyes. He thinks the sparkle adds to the beauty of the dirty face and mussed up hair before him. “Yeah, those.”

Suddenly, they hear a roar outside and they both look momentarily confused until they recognize it’s the roar of another behemoth. Sehun groans in front of him, sliding off of the metal stool with ease before he turns to jump a bit then make his way for the doorway. Jongdae smiles amusedly at him, lips turning up at the corner as he watches the subtle sway of the taller man’s hips and wow. What a fantastic ass.

“Sure you don’t need help out there?” he calls out before Sehun leaves the cavern. His brow rises when Sehun turns to give him a wink.

“I’ll be fine.”

It turns out Sehun couldn’t handle it on his own, screams of pain filling the air before Jongdae quickly reaches under the counter and grabs his own foldable sword, flicking it so it straightens out and locks in place. He makes sure there are still bullets in the magazine before he rushes outside. The sight that greets him is Sehun holding onto his side, a green glow encasing the large wound and one gun hanging limp in his other hand. “Sehun!” he shouts out, running forward to jump and slash at the monster. He lands a hit before he jumps off of its back, flipping in the air and landing in front of the paling man. He scans the monster in front of him, roaring but moving sluggishly. He identifies all of its prominent markers and his eyes widen in shock. “It’s a feral behemoth. What the hell?”

“That’s,” Sehun pants out behind him, slowly healing his own wound, “What I’m saying.”

Ferals are rare in their area, only the lesser kings and alphas usually making an appearance or two within a week. It’s not really in their luck either, considering ferals are noticeably stronger and more vicious than its fellow brethren.

Jongdae waits for the monster’s next move, eyes widening when it suddenly glows minutely and he stands up on his hind legs, a telltale sign it’s getting serious. “Oh shit,” he gasps out before he turns and grabs Sehun, forcing both of them backwards to narrowly miss a swipe of its huge sword. Panic starts to swell in his chest. He’s been out of the game too long and he doesn’t know if he can still defeat one of these things without needing to constantly stop and heal.

“I had it poisoned earlier,” Sehun breathes out as he slowly straightens up, “I guess it’s completely healed now.”

Frowning at the information, Jongdae nods, devising up another plan. “Have you ever defeated one like this before?”

“Barely.”

The frown deepens on his face as his grip tightens on his sword. “I’m going to open up a wound. Focus your poison into that before we switch to elemental and physical attacks.” He hears a soft noise of acknowledgment behind him.

“I didn’t know you were a fighter as well,” Sehun mumbles out, slowly moving away from him as they both stare down their opponent, “I’m a bit surprised.”

Jongdae lets out a small bark of laughter, inching his way towards the monster cautiously. “There’s a lot you don’t know about me.” They both jump apart when the monster swings his sword down on them, causing the earth to shake underneath them. When the earth settles down again, Jongdae rushes forward, jumping up to try and slash at the monster’s chest before dropping to the ground and rolling between his legs to get up to his back. He smirks when he hears Sehun’s response as he shoots at the same spot with a bullet infused with poison.

“I’d say the same to you.”

When they manage to defeat the monster and its body starts turning into glittering wisps of blue and purple smoke, Jongdae has Sehun on his bed behind the cavern front, much closer than the walk down and two flights up to Sehun’s temporary room. His eyes fill with worry and there’s a permanent frown on his face, watching as the green glow around Sehun’s chest and abdomen start to fade even though the wounds were still open and fresh. “Do you want me to concoct you an elixir?” he quietly asks, knocking Sehun’s bloody hands away to help heal him as well.

He feels eyes scan his body before a soft whisper is heard. “Those taste nasty.” Their gaze eventually meets before Jongdae looks back down to make sure the wounds are healing nicely. “Your style,” Sehun mumbles in thought. Jongdae hums in acknowledgment. He got it easy compared to Sehun, needing only a few minutes to heal his own wounds. “How long have you been doing this?”

A rueful smile makes its way to Jongdae’s face. “A couple hundred years.” He feels the intensity of Sehun’s stare and he sighs in resignation. “I’ve been stuck here because of one of those smaller crystals. I don’t know how to go back, but I don’t even know if I want to.” He hears a raspy chuckle after a few minutes and when he looks back up, Sehun is giving him a quirk of the lips.

“Are you from the future or the past?”

Jongdae doesn’t answer him until all of Sehun’s wounds are healed. He doesn’t even feel remotely as tired as he used to when he first got stuck in this century. He eyes the gunner, gauging his reaction as he answers “Future.”

Sehun hums. “How did it look?”

“Almost peaceful,” Jongdae replies, taking a step back to lean on his hip against a desk next to the wall, “Despite the armies and training and everything.” He observes the man in his bed, staring back at him with a thoughtful expression on his face. A smirk finds its way onto his lips and he quirks a brow. “You? Or did you just happen to really stumble upon this town like most people?”

The question causes Sehun to laugh and Jongdae still thinks the man looks handsome half-covered in blood, shirt torn to shreds, and hair still perfectly mussed up with his face covered in dirt. “It was ten times peaceful in the past. I lived in a large area called the Calm Lands that had a training arena built into the side of a mountain. I think that’s the only reason why I’ve survived as long as I did here.”

“You’re doing well,” Jongdae compliments with a laugh, “Maybe if you switch your weapons to a sword instead, it’d be easier.” He watches as Sehun’s gaze falls to his foldable sword on the table next to him. It was basically the length of his leg up to his thigh when it was folded, doubled when it was straightened out. “It’s a gunblade, blazefire saber and standard regulation for those part of the army,” he sighs as he turns to stare at his weapon, “I still haven’t found the necessary items to upgrade it though. But it seems like I’m still doing well with the most basic of weapons.”

He hears Sehun hum in response, not paying him any mind as his mind instantly goes into his mental library to see if there were any substitutions to help him upgrade his weapon of choice. His brows furrow in confusion when a hand reaches out to touch his weapon and pluck it off the desk. He turns his head to see Sehun grunt at the sudden weight, not used to carrying anything more than the guns strapped to his thighs. He waits as Sehun moves to hold the sword more comfortably before placing each of his guns on the table.

A silent question lingers in the air and Jongdae laughs, taking a couple steps back the same time Sehun moves to stand in the middle of the room. “Try it out,” he suggests, watching as a cute furrow makes its way onto Sehun’s face as he holds the hilt with both hands, flicking it harshly to the side and yelping when it unfolds and almost slices his face off.

“Can you teach me, Jongdae?” Sehun whimpers right after, holding the weapon away like it could flick back again of its own volition and cut his head off.

Jongdae continues to laugh but nods his head, walking forward to grab for Sehun’s hands still holding onto his sword. He gently removes his left hand so he can walk around the taller male and hold onto Sehun’s right hand still gripping the hilt. His heart flutters in his chest when Sehun suddenly backs up into him and his ass rubs against his crotch. He would think the other man was trying to make a move on him, but when he looks up to his face, it’s an expression of fear and mild fascination as he holds the sword a little too strongly in his hand. He smiles at the change he sees. This man is nothing like the Sehun from earlier, and he wants to know more.

“Loosen your grip, Sehun,” Jongdae begins to explain softly, hand coming up to touch the man’s small back, “Think of the sword as an extension of your body.” He smiles when he feels Sehun take in a deep, calming breath, ready to slowly yet surely take the reigns he’s going to leave for him. “It’s only another chapter in the long life you’ve led.”

Title: Cute Gestures
Pairing: Jongdae/Minseok
Rating: NC-17
Length: 1.5k
Summary: Jongdae is a teacher who didn’t know he’s dating one of his student’s older cousins. Who knew? (teacher!au)

“Here, Mr. Kim!”

Jongdae looks up from his desk where he’s busy grading math worksheets, and he’s surprised to see a little dandelion in his face. He immediately sneezes at the ticklish feeling under his nose, and it causes some of the little seeds to break off and away towards the little boy holding it out towards him. He laughs at the surprised look of the little boy. “I’m sorry, Jongin. I didn’t expect that.”

Jongin sniffles at the action, the seeds tickling his own nose, but gives him a bright smile in return. “It’s okay, Mr. Kim!”

Plucking the half-there dandelion from the boy’s small fingers, Jongdae stares at it affectionately before looking to the boy. “What’s this for?”

“It’s for you!”

The bright smile directed towards him reminds Jongdae of why he became a primary school teacher. He returns the smile just as bright, holding out a hand palm up to signify a hi-five. “You should be outside with the others,” he reminds the boy and all he receives is a finger in the direction of the classroom door. When he looks, he sees Sehun standing there smiling brightly as well. He laughs at the boys’ attitudes. “Get out of here, you two. I need to finish this before the rest of your classmates come in here.”

Jongin pouts but Sehun is eager to drag his best friend out. “See you later, Mr. Kim!” the latter calls out as they rush out of the room to go join their friends in the playground.

Jongdae watches them go with a smile before looking back down to the dandelion in his hand. He admires it for a few minutes before getting up and walking over to the window, opening it up to blow the rest of the seeds out the room. This is the fourth time this week Jongin has given him a flower and the ninth overall, and he has to wonder what’s with the sudden change in attitude.

It’s Friday, and Jongdae’s starting to expect another flower from his little admirer, except it never comes. Time for recess comes around and the kids all rush outside to feel the warmth of the sun on their skins. Jongdae’s busy grading their short stories and before he knows it, the kids are all rushing back in, sweating and happy with their free time. Jongdae looks up shocked and he sees Jongin and Sehun walking in, giving him bright smiles before returning to their desks.

Disappointment fills Jongdae’s chest, and he knows that’s not a good sign.

“You know that’s illegal, right?” Baekhyun questions him at the end of the day, watching as Jongdae fixes up his papers and bag, “Like, to the tenth degree.”

“I know that,” Jongdae grumbles out, stuffing pens into a hidden pocket in his bag, “But it’s still a sweet gesture.”

“It’s cute, I give him that,” Baekhyun agrees with a nod of the head, “Why can’t I have a little admirer?”

“Because you’re dating Chanyeol and your whole freaking class of little underage kids know it.” Jongdae scoffs at the scandalized gasp that escapes his best friend’s mouth.

“It’s not my fault they returned from recess early!”

“You shouldn’t have been sucking face with the assistant principal during school hours,” a new voice calls out from the doorway, and they look over to see Minseok standing there with a smirk on his face leaning against the doorframe, “Or have a hand down your pants.”

“Fuck,” Baekhyun groans, sparkles in his eyes as he relives the moment in his head, “But do you know how hot he looks in a suit?”

“Just be glad Yifan didn’t fire either of you two and managed to save your asses when parents filed complaints.”

Jongdae laughs at the situation when Baekhyun frowns at them then leaves the room, shoving Minseok on the way out because he can still be a brat about the littlest things. “See you two Monday!” he ends up calling out when he’s down the hall. They both laugh at the sudden change in attitude and Minseok smiles, walking over to Jongdae to card fingers through his hair before bringing him in for a kiss.

Jongdae sighs at the intimate gesture, feeling the disappointment and stress of the day rush out of his body as his hands immediately find their way to Minseok’s hips. They’ve only been dating for two months but he’s already falling head over heels for the smaller man. “I heard you were sad today?” Minseok murmurs against his lips before leaning in to nibble his bottom lip. It has Jongdae groaning and pulling the elder in closer to him. He doesn’t expect the laughter to escape Minseok’s mouth. Jongdae pouts.

“What?”

“Did you like the flowers I’ve been giving you?”

There are sparkles in Minseok’s almond-shaped eyes, and Jongdae can get lost in them if the words didn’t replay in his head three times. His jaw drops at the realization and it coaxes more laughs to escape his small boyfriend’s mouth. The flowers started coming in when it became Minseok’s turn to watch the kids outside in the playground. “You,” he eventually gasps out, bending down to kiss the teasing smile off of his lips. He can’t stop the bubbles of laughter escaping Minseok’s mouth though, so he immediately moves his mouth up to his ear to nip at it and coax a groan out of that pretty little mouth again. It makes him fall even harder, and he doesn’t think he can stop it.

“I can’t believe you’ve been manipulating my little angels to do your dirty work for you.”

“Jongin is anything but a little angel,” Minseok comments back, nudging Jongdae’s head away to get back to his lips, “You know he’s my cousin, right?”

Jongdae’s breath hitches in his throat when Minseok licks his way into his mouth, easily gaining the upper hand when his tongue curls around his own and sucks. All coherent thoughts leave him, and all he can feel is Minseok’s hand in his hair and his other unbuttoning his shirt all at once. He gasps when he suddenly feels his desk digging into the backs of his thighs, his shirt halfway open and untucked with Minseok kissing his way down his neck and to his chest.

“Min,” he breathes out, feeling the elder starting to palm him through his slacks. Minseok’s eyes are dark and focused, slowly moving his way past sensitive nipples to get to his fluttering abdomen. Fingers swiftly undo his belt and the clatter is loud in the quiet classroom. He watches with hooded eyes as Minseok pulls at his boxers’ waistband and snaps it. He whines at the action, his own fingers tangling in his boyfriend’s hair to help guide him to where he needs him.

Minseok concedes easily, licking his lips hungrily as he pulls Jongdae’s boxers down to his thighs. “I thought you’d appreciate the cute gesture,” he mumbles before licking around the crown and engulfing him in one go.

Jongdae whines at the sensation, knees buckling because he’s only been dating Minseok for two months and he’s still not used to how godly this man is with his mouth. He can’t even think much, let alone verbalize his thoughts of wanting more, more, more.

He feels small hands reach around to grab his ass cheeks, encouraging him to thrust forward while Minseok continues to bob his head like Jongdae’s cock is the best thing he’s ever had in this world. Jongdae looks down at Minseok worriedly, still having half a mind to think that he could hurt Minseok, but then he does this thing and it has Jongdae seeing stars. He begins to thrust forward slowly, cutting off Minseok’s mewls with every forward push, and Jongdae immediately loses his steady pace when Minseok looks up at him with half-lidded eyes with a mouthful of his cock and he comes.

A stuttered gasp gets stuck in his throat as he shakes from the force of his orgasm. He faintly hears Minseok moan in the background and he whines pathetically when he opens an eye to see Minseok pulling off to swallow everything and lean back in to lick up the rest. His body is oversensitive with a pleasant hum running through him. He just continues to watch Minseok’s pink tongue, feeling his cock twitch at the sight of him on his knees before him with his fingers still caressing his scalp. Eventually, he whines when the licking can very well lead to a second round, and he doesn’t even bother when he hears a whistle and a - “Damn, and I thought Chanyeol and Baekhyun were bad.”

Title: Only Myths
Pairing: Jongdae/Yifan
Rating: PG-13
Length: 1.7k
Summary: There’s a myth of two men transforming into wolves every seven years to protect the forest and their people. Jongdae now understands why they were chosen. (based on the faoladh myth)

Sunlight streaming in through the treetops is what wakes up Jongdae from his nap, feeling the warmth radiating all over his body as he shifts his body for another more comfortable position. He doesn’t feel the larger body next to his and he whimpers at the loss, eyes opening to look around him curiously. He doesn’t see the large, caramel-colored fur of his lover anywhere, but the sound of a happy howl fills the air and it immediately calms him down.

A minute later, amusement fills Jongdae’s eyes as he gets up on all four paws, padding his way through the trees and bushes towards the large clearing in the center of the forest. He hears the laughter of children, and he pants instinctively, becoming happy at the innocent sounds. He howls in reply to Yifan’s before jumping out and bursting onto the scene, seeing the children squeal in excitement at finally seeing the other wolf again before running their way towards him.

Jongdae happily licks at the palms offered towards him before one tries to reach up and pat his head. He’s not the same size or any larger than Yifan, but he still has to bow for the small ones to be able to reach his ears. He feels small fingers run through his fur and tug at it, only because curiosity gets the better of little children. He pants happily before looking to the other wolf simply sitting and watching him from his place in the middle of the field.

This will be the last time, Jongdae.

Jongdae nods his head, sad and longing look entering his eyes as he tries to entertain the children around him. I know, Yifan.

Jongdae first became a wolf seven years ago, a blessing in disguise when he and his betrothed were chosen to become the next pair of guardians to the forests and village in the area. He never understood why they were chosen, but as the days became weeks, weeks into months, and months into years, it became clearer each and every day. They loved the village and its people. They loved the innocence they could protect in young children and the guaranteed safety of those wandering through the forests.

Another happy howl fills the air, and Jongdae looks over from his place of letting a small boy ride his back to see Yifan panting happily in his direction with the young girl constantly trying to climb his back.

They don’t talk much; they never do. They’ve found a way to communicate with just their gazes, and they don’t know of any other pair to be able to do that except the ones who bestowed the blessing onto them previously. They think it’s because of the deep connection the two of them shared before the transformation took place, and Jongdae always likes to think about it late at night when all he does is stare up at the beautiful moon guiding them every step of the way.

Yifan makes it to him and Jongdae instantly moves to place his head in the crook of Yifan’s neck and shoulder. The children on them giggle at the affectionate gesture and Jongdae growls playfully at the sound. The kids squeal in happiness, climbing off of them to make their way to the other side of the clearing, leaving the two wolves alone to spend another last few precious moments together by themselves.

A warm look enters Jongdae’s eyes when he feels Yifan turn to lick the side of his neck, cleaning it of the dirt gathered there from the young child. Jongdae doesn’t think he could have been any happier than knowing Yifan will always be there for him and taking care of him when he needs it.

“Jongdae! Yifan!” the young female shouts out.

Jongdae and Yifan stare at her before looking to each other, the same mischievous look entering both their eyes before they start to run their way towards the squealing children.

By the time the sun starts to set, Jongdae and Yifan are panting on the ground, the children lying all over them because their fur feels like silk and they’re warm. One keeps tugging Jongdae’s ear out of boredom while another plays with Yifan’s tail, trying to catch it as it flicks back and forth behind him. Eventually, she catches it and Yifan yelps in surprise, head tilting back to give the child a stern stare as she pouts her way out of it. She ends up trying to catch it again before simply petting down Yifan’s fur.

Together, they look beautiful. They understand the talk of the people of their village, and they know. Jongdae’s fur is a beautiful grey while Yifan’s is a gorgeous caramel color, reminding others of entwined gold and silver strands. They’re the constant protectors and they’ve been praised constantly for keeping all of them safe, bringing those who wander out and get lost back home.

“Jongdae,” the little girl calls out, causing the grey wolf to lift his head and face her, “Can you bring us home?”

Jongdae sucks in a breath of air, nodding once in understanding before standing up despite the boy still on his back. He hears the even breathing coming from the boy’s mouth and he howls softly towards Yifan to get up as well. He sees the little glare come from his love, and he’s happy Yifan hasn’t changed at all since the very beginning.

There’s a mischievous look in his eyes before he walks over and leans down, nipping at Yifan’s ear. The little girl giggles at the little act, climbing onto Yifan’s back properly so she doesn’t fall when he stands. “Are you okay, Yifan?” she questions afterwards once they start heading their way back towards the village.

Jongdae tilts his head back at the question, watching Yifan nod along with her questions.

“Is this the last time we will see you two like this?”

Another nod.

“The next two will be just as kind and gentle as you two, right?”

Jongdae winces when he feels a sudden tug on his fur and he tilts his head up to see the little boy staring down at him sleepily from the edges of his vision, his chin digging into his forehead. “Don’t leave us, Jongie,” the little boy whispers, reaching out to pet his snout, “And Yiyi.”

Yifan growls at the nickname, but it only causes both children to laugh in joy. No more is said between them until they enter the village, the children’s mother looking around the edge of the forest looking for her children. Her eyes light up at the sight of them, the girl climbing off of Yifan first before Jongdae crouches low to let the boy off of him.

“Thank you for bringing them home safely,” the mother quickly says, hugging her children to her tightly. She smiles as she reaches out to pet each wolf. “Thank you for everything you have done.”

Kindness and gratitude enters Yifan’s and Jongdae’s eyes before they bow their heads respectfully and make their way out into the forest again.

Both Jongdae and Yifan wait, sitting and staring up at the sky in the middle of the field. They have already chosen the next two to take their place, and they should be arriving soon. Time is almost up and there should never be a moment empty of a guardian of the forest and village.

They both feel the minutes ticking by on their skin, feeling time turn ever so slowly, before Jongdae turns to his side and moves closer to Yifan, licking the side of his muzzle affectionately. Yifan responds by turning and nuzzling his head into Jongdae’s neck. They smile subconsciously, their actions speaking thousands instead of the million words that can be said. And there’s clear love sparkling within the depths of their eyes.

There’s one more minute left when two men stumble into the forest, looking haphazard and lost, before they look to the two wolves staring back at them just as confused. Amusement fills Jongdae’s eyes again as he stands on all four legs and turns towards them, Yifan doing the same until the two men walk up to them and kneel. Human hands reach out to cradle one wolf’s head towards them until their foreheads touch gently.

“Thank you for watching over us for seven years, Jongdae and Yifan,” one whispers out, eyes searching the wolf’s before closing his own.

“Please continue to watch and guide us as well,” the other murmurs next, closing his eyes as well as a bright glow envelops their entire bodies.

Before they know it, Jongdae and Yifan are human again, heads still tilting against the new wolves’ foreheads. Jongdae smiles as he reaches out to cradle the other’s head in front of him. “Thank you for accepting this position, Lu Han.”

“Thank you, Minseok,” Yifan gruffly says, voice sounding foreign to him after seven years of disuse, “You will be wonderful guardians.”

Luhan and Minseok open their eyes, everything looking completely different to them as different colors make their way into their vision. They focus their stares to the two previous guardians before bowing towards them respectfully and taking off to acquaint themselves with the surrounding forests.

The two men watch them leave, an odd shimmer of lavender and rose bouncing off of the coats of the new wolves, before they turn to return to the home they haven’t seen in seven years when Jinki and Kibum turned the legend unto them. Pausing in the middle of their journey, Yifan pulls on Jongdae’s hand, surprising the shorter male into the long-awaited kiss they have both dearly missed.

“Let’s go celebrate the renewal of the spring equinox,” Yifan murmurs happily against Jongdae’s lips.

Jongdae doesn’t hesitate to say “yes” before Yifan picks him up bridal style and kisses him again and again, stumbling over branches and roots, before they finally make it back to their second home.
