When I first saw Inception, I focused on the action and trying to follow the plot. The same happened the following three times I saw the movie after that.
At no point did I really bother asking the questions like, "What does this mean for us and reality?", "So, is he dreaming now, and does it matter?", "How does this work, given what has been said

So, I'm gonna start out with my opinion of which of the above I think it is. Which is number 2. Which, as you said, is flawed. Which may, in a moment, be my point.
[Edited out. Because it was all choppy and trying to type that out was giving me a headache, so I'm gonna come back later. And maybe go work on something from the list. .... Here, have the last three sentences, which I don't think would have changed:]
You're expecting it to be fool proof. You're expecting it to be concrete.
I'm just saying that maybe it's not.
