Civilization as we know it is so fucked. The world is on a downward spiral and no one seems intent on stopping it. The problems are so inherent in the social systems we've been abiding to for thousands of years that it'll take a massive upheaval of what kind of society we're running before any real progress, real change, is made. Good point. I don't know many facts about population increase/control, but I think I've heard the increase has been exponential in the past few and in present day, we're like, crazy far up the curve. It's scary.

But you're so dead on about the trail of production. I don't think there's a way for humans to exist without being basically a virus (though lessening the impact should, obviously, be encouraged)! I forget to recycle all the fucking time, though, I'll be the first to admit. I don't believe it's little steps by each individual as we're told believe, though, I think it'll take a massive fucking overhaul of systems.
