Oh, FFS.

Okay. I'd been toying with getting a fully paid account around here, and then I learned of yet another LJ idiocy: the Great Redirect DebacleI'm not sure I want to hand over my cash to a group that does things like this (intentionally or unintentionally--screwing up like this accidentally is just as bad as doing it on purpose). I've been looking ( Read more... )

Thanks for that; I did try a search for codes, but every one I found had already been used. I just wasn't fast enough on the draw!

I'm on Dreamwidth but I've never actually been on it. I think that says something.

Honestly, at this point, I'd get a Twitter account, link it to your Facebook, make occasional posts here, and be done with it.

I have severe allergies to Facebook, and I've never managed to get Twitter to play nice with it (I'm sure it's some little tickbox I keep missing, or something).

I'm just not sure what I'd say on Twitter that's not...inane. I'm not saying other twitters are inane (though some are), I'm just saying I'd probably be. I suppose I should check into Twitter just to keep it awake...

I will give you a Dreamwidth code. I have an account, but I never, ever really use it because, well, everyone is still over here. FWIW, I have had a paid LJ account for about as long as I have had a son. I find it is very much worth it to get to add polls, have more userpics, and not have ads. There are more customization features, too.

I really need to chart out a calendar for myself so that I can remember to keep up with Dreamwidth along with all of the other things I am doing. :)

Okay! I just sent you a code from my Dreamwidth account. you can actually link it to post to your LJ, BTW, but I found that the privacy settings weren't helpful that way.

Best! *HUGS*

Thank you for that, and for your advice on LJ! I might get myself a paid account, then. Another incentive to post more, too!
