Everyone has left/is leaving in the next two days for college, and now I will have 3 weeks of being by myself. I'm trying to look on the bright side of things and think about the time I'll spend with my family, but already I'm starting to feel lonely

I know what you mean, mon amie. I've been thinking about who i want to be in college, as well, so i understand. just remember that the only perfect thing is imperfection, and just be yourself.

Hey Julia---I know I don't usually comment on your live journal, but I think you might want to know something...I came down to Mizzou knowing only a couple of acquaintances from neuqua (which I might add, I haven't really seen yet) and yet I've made some really great friends. As you probably know, i'm not the most social person, and I hardly had to make any effort before I met lots of new people. Essentially, everyone's in the same boat. I wouldn't worry about it.

hey jordan, thanks for the comforting comment. i'm really glad that you're having a great time down at mizzou already! its true that everyone is in the same boat...i'm sure i'll have a great time in college. possibly since i wrote all of that at one in the morning i was feeling more apprehensive than usual. i will talk to you later!

Well, if you get tired of being by yourself in the next three weeks, you can always come hang out with us (the 'crew' isn't going anywhere anytime soon).

Julia, I am here to be blunt. Don't be alarmed. Here's how it'll go, you'll make friends. You'll have fun, hell you'll even do your work. But then you will realize that college is god damn boring. I'm sitting here with very little to do, and nowhere to go. I am like 10 minutes away from the heart of Chicago and I am bored. Boooooooored. So all in all this comment has more to do with me being bored, and less about your anxiety about the future. Sorry about that. :P
