This is a color and texture tutorial for Photoshop. Heres what we will be starting with, and the final product:

-->

pimpage, yo cinematic50
now, onto the tutorial!

First of, crop the image into a 100x100 image.

SHARPENNNNN. Sharpening is your friend! Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen. This really make the image look so much better and not blurry!

Then, duplicate this image and set the layer at Screen.

Now, make a new layer. Use a silvery-grayish gradient and set the layer at Overlay.

-->

Create a new layer and use a dark blue/blue gradient. Set this layer at Screen with 50% opacity.

-->

Duplicate the original image, and set it at Screen.

-->

Now take any texture (I've used withaghost's) and place it where you want.

Since there was alot of stuff going on with this texture near the bottom, I've taken a black/transparent gradient and covered up part of the gradient.

Set this layer at Screen. Andddd you're done! Add text or whatever to your liking :)

Remember to use this tutorial as a guideline. Make the icon your own! :)
