I'm assuming that he's leaving to do some honorable thing.. so first of all thank your dad for me and the rest of my country. It's amazing and I think you should feel very honored. I'm sure you will still be able to contact him but I know it will be hard. You will have other people in your life going through the same thing so depend on others. And just know that he will come back in a year and that will be one amazing lunch! I love you and hope you get through this
