But I think the lesson is life is short and you have to give it all you've got. Live your life thoroughly to prove you value the gift. That doesn't mean live to excess but live while appreciating the gift of life and friends and sometimes even family and school. Daniel Levine has written several books on Death, which you could check out of the library after you finish your classes. He suggests we try to live as if we were dying. (like the song) But I think the better way is live as if we are dying and live as if we are living 80 more years (that's so you take care of yourself too) I appreciate that you appreciated the carnival. What an awesome way to mourn your freind.
