What!!!! Maybe Youth Dew is a little too "classic" for your tastes. Maybe you prefer something like Sarah Jessica Parker (tm) "Lovely", which smells like if they made a "20 dollar appletini for fucking idiots" air freshener.

remember when you liked the aged Chanel no 5 lotion? And then when you got it brand new it didn't smell right.

I find Chanel no 5 to be ineffably boring now! My tastes have been refined by reading perfume blogs. which I recommend if you want to feel a conflict between laughing uproariously at the heights to which pretension can soar WHILE taking phrases like "sweet and earthy, with an overall slightly damp feel to it, sort of like wet soil" totally seriously. An excellent time waster, interfaces nicely with a ebay addiction.
