I owe you an explaination.

When a phrase like 'Tatiana [insert term of endearment here], you have a tumor' is said to you, sheer terror is not even a proper way to describe what goes through your head. I went in for my MRI at 7:30 this morning, I got into the casket of hammering and half way through they pulled me out to tell me that I needed to get an IV in so that they ( Read more... )

You are so right, thank you for being so sweet!
Did you ever hear that story about that guy that had cancer and was supposed to die in like 3 months? They told him that he should enjoy himself as much as possible and laugh as much as possible and do whatever makes him the most happy, so he watched Three Stooges videos all day long and died laughing and went to a check up and the doctors found NO CANCER IN HIM. I shit you not. If that's the way things go, I can beat anything. lol.

hang in there. i know what it's like to face major illness - both with myself and a family member - and nothing that anyone says can make the future seem brighter. and i know it's no consolation: but trust me, it will be. <3

Thank you so much, Iva.
If you don't mind me asking, what did you have? It's cool if you don't wanna say. ♥ Glad you're alright.

i had/still have scoliosis (my spine spontaneously twisted into an "s") and had to have hardcore surgery for it back in '98. i currently have two metal rods on either side of my spine to keep the upper part of it straight and have a massive scar right down the centre of my back and one smaller one near my hip (they needed bone from my hip to use to fuse my spine). SOUNDS LIKE FUN, HUH? life. go figure.

you WILL make it through this. much love.

Hey hun, I know you dont know me that well, but I figured I'd post this since I know what you are going through. I had a very small tumor in my sinus, which I had to have removed about 2 months ago. The surgery that I had to have wasnt that major, but its still scary having surgery, I know.

But I know your freaked out and everything, but you should be fine. My aunt lived with a tumor in her brain for 60 years, she didn't have it removed until about 2 years ago, and shes totally fine now.

I know its scary business and everything, but if you do end up having to have surgery to remove it- dont freak out too much from that. Because honestly, all I did was freak out, but even a week after surgery, I was fine. Just don't get yourself too worked up about it because that will make it even worse.

I hope everything goes okay with you, and if you ever want to talk to someone who has gone through something like that, I'm always here.

Whether I know you well or not isn't the issue at all! Thank you so much for your consonlation, I've calmed down quite a bit and replaying the situation in my head doesn't make me cry every time anymore. I am so glad you're alright, it gives me good incentive about going under the knife OR keeping my little tumor (I'd name it, but the only proper name would be 'pain in the ass' and that's too long), though I'd rather get rid of it, I suppose I can deal with what little pain and irritations it does give me. If you don't mind, I might IM you sometime when you're on. Thank you so, so much.

Tatiana

I just came across this site, haven't been on in years, I don't know if you even remember me. But I just wanted to say that I am sorry for everything you have gone through, and I hope that you are doing well.
