"i was thinking about what if when damien and i were on the way to the show, and he was driving recklessly to get there on time, what if we were sideswiped by a big truck or something. i had this picture in my mind of us getting hit on my side of the car, and the car crushing like a soda can. the car rolled and glass was everywhere, and i just lie there upside down, blood streaming down my face, banged and bruised thinking "wow. so this is how it ends?" and then i look at damien and he's unconscious and i think "fuck man why'd he have to go like this?" and so i crawl out of the shattered window and lie on the pavement scraped up and bleeding and i just close my eyes and im gone. all my friends arrive late to the show like they did friday, and all our band members are like holy shit after seeing the accident happen right in front of the lions club. and my friends get there after the paramedics have covered me up with a white sheet, and they're all like "wow poor guys". and then someone mentions "yea they were singer and guitarist for

FIRST OFF. ... u didnt ruin ANY day.. my bday was soooo awesome today regardless.. like i told u .. u dont have to feel sorry or anything.. i told u we all have our shining moments .. and sometimes we dont.. its okay.. i really dont know what to tell you about tons of other stuff thats going on in your head.. i told u we could talk any time u wanted.. and all i can do is listen.. but i love you too much to see you dying down.. u are so important to me and one of the best things in my life right now. and YES I LOVED my birthday present.. it was SOO awesome.. i really think that you need to take a break and just revitalize and think things through. dont go out for a day or go spend a day with a book in a park.. or something.. something and do it for yourself. and i didnt need anything else for my birthday it was perfect the way it was.. i love you t.. dont ever forget that
