You know my squee has been raging for days, but seriously. SQUEE. It is still totally unabated. I love absolutely EVERYTHING about this. You have such a genius way with friendship and bromances. I'm always in awe of how well you write that kind of lovely supportive relationship (and it's so much harder than writing shippy stuff, I think), and this is maybe even better than usual, because I think Whale needs it more than most people. You can just feel their friendship. The way they both use that line, "and I'm talking about [Whale], by the way". The rituals, the way Whale sleeps better when Jack's around, the way Jack totally knows he'll be on task for grilling and doesn't care, their banter. They're such adorable bros
