Zee questions (answer at least one):
1) Why I like him/her.
2) Why I dislike him/her.
3) What plot I'd use in a fic about him/her.
4) What superpower he/she would have.
5) Who would be his/her ideal partner.
For callsigns:
1) I liked Xander because he was a normal guy. Joss never gave in to the urge to make him something supernatural on a permanent basis; Xander (like his show) got by on the powers of charm, brains, snark, bravery, and timely cultural references.
2) I disliked Xander because of his taste in women. NO REALLY. At best it was cheap comic relief, and at worst it was a several-season distracting waste of screentime. He had zero chemistry with any of them. It was like they all generated some kind of intelligence-sucking boredom field. I had to totally warp my perception of his character to excuse why he'd tolerate SOs who whined and badgered him, endangered his friends, and shared none of his values or interests.
3)
amandazillah told me during her visit that Joss had either wanted Willow or Xander to come out as gay, and had decided on Willow after a season or so. I'd retell the series with Xander as the gay one and solve the stupid girlfriend problem in one go.
4) If he did have a superpower, I'd totally want him to remain jackal boy. Think of the crossovers. *LUST*
5) Bob. They could geek together, share sweaters, and play rugby!
1) I like Pete (the nurse) from Heroes because...well, I'm supposed to. He's a saint. He's sensitive, sweet, patient, devoted, tolerant, intelligent, and caring.
2) I dislike Pete because...well, I'm not supposed to. He's a saint. I kind of want to poke him in his oversized nose and tell him to kick puppies.
3) Pete's mother's explanation about his dad and his secret mental problems made me think of The Butterfly Effect's Evan and his father. I'd do a retelling of that movie with Pete as someone able to travel into the lives of his past self or maybe his family members' lives.
4) I'd make the flying gift symbiotic--that both brothers can do it, but only when they do it together. Or add a potentially self-destructive element in that they can only do it when the other one is in immediate danger. I can see Pete unconsciously using something like that to manipulate his brother, who he adores, into spending emotional energy on him.
5) Um, do you know me? PETE/NATHAN. Also, my fandoms need fewer dramariffic Petes with death wishes.
She'd also asked for Joe Trohman, but what I know about Trohman would make any answers generic, so I skipped him. (Sorry, Joe. I'm sure you're deep.)
