My first time ever in the OR [operating room] today.
saw an obese woman go through gastric-bypass surgery
and some dude had tracheostomy... disturbing, but
very interesting! now i know not to work in OR.

wow!!! gastric-bypass surgeru is very nasty...this lady had one done on tv they showed it and I couldn't even stomach that ...wow!!

gyeah I saw it on TV before too.. but nothing beats seeing it in person... I guess you really gotta have a strong stomach for things like those

i get to go to the OR on my birthday! bah... and spend 12 hours at the hospital. >=O

LOL that's a good birthday treat! 12 hours is fine. I used to think 7 hours in the hospital is loooonngg, now I wish we had more time. OR is not much, i think it's actually boring to work in that unit.
