So I'm going to try and start writing my weekend missives again because I too often wonder where the time went and these help me when I wonder.
I'll cheat and talk about Thursday which was our quarterly OG Gigsville Wednesday Night Dinner that I started doing last year. This one was actually on Thursday since Matt Shaw was in town. It was just a nice night filled with people I love and have known for so many years. (And Russ who i've only known a short while but love too.) The Tuckers came out (apparently it takes out of town guests,) Mother Paul came out for the first time since the baby was born, and I felt very special being able to be the one to present quilts that Melissa had sewn for the babies to Girlie/Travis and Kat/Bustin.
Russ had been pretty sick all week and that night after took a definite turn down so Friday we had planned to go to a game night and/or go dancing but instead decided a chill movie was more the way to go. We saw Side Effects. The reviews are good for it but we did not feel that way. Disappointing. Like the actors, usually like Soderbergh. Didn't think it was that thrilling, thought the trailer painted it as being something else, and was annoyed by a cheap angle it took on something. Not worth it in my opinion.
Saturday he was feeling better and I took advantage of it.
1. Beginning of the day was errands:

Picked up New Glasses!
2. thrift shopping for party wear
3. helping Mother Paul clean up the new place
4. shower
5. dinner
6. stop by Russ' friends house for a small get together
7. Go to the Pink Palace party. The theme was Video Games Killed the Radio Star. We went as goths which was exciting as I got the boyfriend to wear eyeliner for his first time ever. (If you're unaware, I really really like boys in eyeliner.)

Tetris People
I admit the best part of the party was cheering people on while they played Fruit Ninja on the ginormous screen on the Kinect:
Sunday was mostly relaxing. There was dim sum brunch. Then a nap. Then Russ and I had a dance class. Then relaxing. Then dinner at Trudy's so Sylkia could try their stuffed avocado. And to end the week right with a Mexican martini (extra olives.) Finally we had our good tv time with Once and Walking Dead.
So yes, successful!
This week involves dance lessons, a dance party and I thought there were more parties for the weekend but it look like Russ' parents are coming ins o i get to meet them (eeep!)
