Back from visiting family in CA and feeling a bit unanchored. Am a a bit unanchored. Seeing parents & brother & dog (especially dog) was very nice; all went to a Swedish Christmas dinner which involved many kinds of alcohol all mixed together--beer glass for beer, wine glass for wine, shot glass for something vile called Aquavit that everyone
