Bombing Mission!

I finally got a PS4 and killed myself rearranging my furniture so it could fit in my room. My legs are nothing but bruises. I only found one dead cockroach in the process. I think it was the instigator from the hostage situation last year when I was trying to finish the epilogue for Sunflowers. I shot both it and the hostage (sorry Brown Puppy!), ( Read more... )

I'm glad you mentioned the music. The first time I played the original the reactor music made a big impression on me. It was *so* creepy! It kept popping into my head when I wasn't playing. It's in my head right now. But the remake version is so bland I hardly recognized it. I was disappointed.

I've played the classic level three times to try to get used to looking at the ATB gauge. Did you get anything other than fire materia on that level? I didn't. I got potions and ethers, but only one phoenix down. I wasn't wandering around as much as I could have, though. The one time I tried normal I died before I got out of the train station. I plan to try it again.

Looking at the Banora apple juice poster I thought - I bet Genesis would get a kick out of that. Then I remembered that Banora no longer exists, Angeal is long dead, and Genesis is in a cave somewhere! So yeah - did they rebuild Banora like they did Nibelheim? Will this be a side quest?

I agree! The reactor music was so creepy and memorable in the original. I was talking to my mom, and she mentioned how she can still at least hum most of the music from the FF games we played as kids, despite never playing them herself. It's meant to make an impression and set a mood! But this, yeah, it's just bland and fades into the background. I have heard that the boss music at least will be different in the full release.

I did! Barret has the cure and lightning materias, so you don't get access to them until he joins. I definitely did the search every corner and smash every box thing on my first time through, so I think I had around 20 potions and 4 phoenix downs.

A side quest to Banora would be neat! I'd love to see what's become of it. I wonder if we'll get a peek at Genesis's cave. I'm guessing probably not, since there are all the copyright issues with him.
