Тут народ призывает дружно перестать писать в ЖЖ в пятницу. А я и не собирался. Вообще-то, чтобы ударить по бездорожью, разгильдяйству и бюрократизму надо не прекратить писать в ЖЖ, а прекратить его читать - рекламу никто не увидит....

what do you think about visa ipo?

I don't think about Visa IPO:) But if you really want to know - it is a good deal for Visa: they make money no matter what the economy is (on interest, fees from borrowers and vendors, etc). But realistically, the large banks (JP, Citi, BofA, etc) are the largest Visa shareholders, and those are the ones that need that cash from Visa IPO. Visa does not really have any debt or affected by mortgage crisis, they just service the transactions, and (except for fraud losses) are quite effective. People buy mroe stuff using credit cards, and it is a good trend. Will I buy it at 50? Not right now. At 30 - yes, at 70 - nowa

i second the "who cares" notion.
they tried boycotting ebay, but what's the point? if users start leaving--that's the only thing to which anyone will respond.
