See what you made me do? You made me get all teary!

I loved the card, and I can't wait to read the books. You know me so well. I can't believe it's been 17 years.

More importantly, I love you lots. Thank you for hanging in there with me, through the best and the worst of times.

If the books are good, I'd like to read them too. :) (Wow, that makes it sound like I got you a self-serving birthday present.)

Doing anything special for your b-day today?

Hee! No worries. You know that Jerusha's Lending Library is always open. ;-)

Well, I made cupcakes to bring into work, and those have gone over well. (I ate two myself, just to be sure they were okay, you know.) And Tyson's picking up dinner on the way home tonight. And, I just had a pleasant conversation with Tania, who gave me a gift card to B&N for my birthday, which is a small miracle of its own. So, nothing too exciting, but it's been a good day.
