life and such

Christmas has been celebrated. The New Year has been rung in. I have that accomplished feeling that comes with having survived another stressful holiday season. Saturday my best girlfriends came over to indulge in my homemade chicken and noodles. We also did a better-late-than-never white elephant gift exchange for Christmas. Tonight, I took ( Read more... )

Oh, wow. That poor man. I hope they can find his family. I'm sure they'd want closure, if nothing else.

And heh. Tyson wants a snowblower, although I think we might try to duke it out with a couple of decent shovels. I have a feeling that one more big snow will push him over the edge, though.

*big hugs* Thanks for cooking on Saturday! I had a good time.

Yeah, the client told me today that the coroner thinks he may have been dead for a week before anyone found him. How incredibly sad.

Who knows, maybe Tyson can hold on longer than you think. It's taken me three winters in this house to finally break down and buy a snowblower. I picked it up tonight. Now to put it together...

You're welcome! I'm so glad everyone could come and hang out.

Hello, friend! It's so nice to see you around here!

my homemade chicken and noodles

Okay, Heather. I am making a proclamation: some day, I WILL experience your chicken and noodles. They sound SO GOOD and I know they're your specialty, and all I'm saying is...this is happening.

I told the cheapskate part of my brain to shut up and ordered a snow blower from Home Depot

DO IT. (I realize I, in my Californianess, cannot really comment on this. But my parents bought one this winter for their cabin in the mountains, and it has completely changed their lives up there. It's amazing.)

I'm so sad for/about that man...I hope they find his family. We're lucky, you guys.

Hello, Liz! It's nice to be actively participating around here. I hope things are going well on the house-buying and job-hunting fronts. (Or as well as things can go when you are talking about house buying and job hunting.)

Well, let me just go on and extend an invitation. You are welcome to chicken and noodle day anytime! I do warn you that it isn't the healthiest of dishes, as it's pretty much pure starch with some chicken thrown in, but it's so good, I find it hard to care.

The snowblower has been purchased. Now to assemble it. I have a feeling I will cry tears of joy the first time I use it. (I loathe shoveling.)

I'm sad about the man too. Today I was told he'd probably been dead for a week before they found him. We are so very lucky, indeed.
