belly buttons stink
My 2+mile run today was completely offset by the consumption of onion rings, a spicy (grilled) chicken sandwich, a popsickle, and ~5-6 big cookies (at 7+ grams of fat each... and by the way, I really shouldn't have looked at the nutrition label).
Oh well, I decided that I'm going to work on my 2+mile time. Right now it's at a really horrible 25min. I'm hoping that's because the "+" actually exists, as in I'm actually running more than 2 miles. I have my fingers crossed. I also really like how I'm prioritizing my running over school work. Not that I'm behind right now, I just really could be using those mornings to sleep. GAH! Who knew the day would come when I would put running over sleep. Does that mean ultimate is more important to me than sleep?? hmm... yay cognitive dissonance.
hmm, hmm. Work is all right. Not as fun as I would've liked. I'm going to try to master Photoshop and FlashMX. My goal is to be able to make a really awesome animation with sound. I think I'll do voices and stuff too. I'm really inspired by

All right, school is school. I have a bunch of stuff happening this week and next week (2 exams, boo) and the week after that... really, I'm busy until winter break.
Oh, and I'm advertising Vassar at Shorewood when I go home in October. I was really conflicted about whether or not I should do it, but this is really my only opportunity to get some Shorewoody kids out here. I thought about going to Shorecrest, but ehh, it's Shorecrest and I wouldn't know ANYONE there. So, Shorewood it is. I'm thinking of visiting all my teachers from there too: Torres, Stoops, Nagy, Scaia, Erickson... well, pretty much anyone who may remember me. I really like to idea of visiting Stoops because I feel like she is really one of the people who got me going on my science career (as in getting me the job at the Hutch, which has really pushed me into the science world). The rest of them got to experience me as a teacher's pet, which I have decided really did happen while I was a student there, and continues to happen in college. I don't think I suck up to them, but I like to create hilarious relationships with professors because I think that it'd be a boring life to be a professor and have really unentertaining students.
Today I realized that I'm not the stupidest person in my protein chem class! Success! That means I'm not dumb. I did lose a lot of footing in immunology after not studying the right stuff for the last quiz (the first time in my entire life...). Oh, and for people who don't know, your body's immune system is the coolest thing ever. Antibodies are AMAZING. I'm surprised they even exist and they keep us so sick free and alive. And with that, I'm going to go.
I'm a nerd!
