i may be coming outta left field on this one b/c i don't know the particulars of your situation, but i commend you for putting yourself out there and trying to reanimate a friendship- i've done it and it's scary...i'm my case it was my b/f courtney and we had a huge falling out in 1995 (? ah i'm old)...i'd always regretted losing that friendship (and i've never had another one like it) and when i ran into her at rue de la course i was shaking the entire time we were talking. after that we exchanged e-mail addys and i decided to just lay it all out, offer an apology (for whatever i did or don't do- at that point i didn't care), and just keep my fingers crossed...for us it worked out but it maybe b/c we're older now and in different places in our lives...whatever the case- it's awesome being friends again...
so for you, whatever happens you put the effort into it and stepped up, you gotta feel good about that no matter what the outcome...

hope denver- and molly ;) are treating you well...
