It has taken me so long to put this up because I've been a bit depressed ever since I got back. This was the first time that we stayed in Waikiki. The main difference is that everyone in Waikiki assumed we were tourists and not only that, were Japanese tourists, while everyone in Kailua assumed we were locals. I swear, all these guys greeting us

totally. we really missed being there for this trip. just being able to watch the sun rise or taking a quiet stroll along the bay or just sleeping under the stars with hardly anyone around...*sigh* i guess that's what kailua will do to you, make you miss it.

i might be going to Hawaii next June for a friend's wedding, but i don't know what island we'll be on, tho. i'll have to remember to ask you all the spots to visit. :) especially all the good places to eat! :p

no, i've never lived there. but me and jo have taken yearly trips there for 3 years now. i've even been made an honorary Hawaiian because i was stung by a man o' war in Kailua! j/k lemme know if you go to Oahu.

Glad you had a wonderful time in Hawaii, but really, how could you not? My friends and I go to Hawaii every year too, it's become like a religion for us. Btw, could you tell me the name of that authentic Japanese noodle house? I don't think I've heard of it and I want to check it out the next time I'm in Hawaii. Thanks.

thanks! not yet...as i write this he is walking the beaches of Phuket. he'll be back this weekend. YAY for ME!!!
