I love you never felt like any blessing
Whispering like it's a secret
Only to condemn the one who hears it

Quinn Fabray had been many things to many people: a good Christian girl, a mother, a fallen idol. But she had never been a good lover, never truly kind. If she were honest with herself, she would admit she did not know how. That it was something that never came up at Sunday school, how to love someone unconditionally.
Now she had someone relying on her, to be strong, to protect them in a way she had never been able to protect herself. The thought was terrifying and freeing at the same time. She had been giving a second, third, forth chance. Someone kept coming back, kept asking for more of her. It would be easy to call Rachel Berry a masochist. It would be so easy to throw her devotion in her face and walk away.
But Quinn wanted out, out of this place that kept taking everything from her and giving her nothing in return. Rachel never asked for anything. She never asked to have her hand held in public. Never asked for anything Quinn was not ready to give her.
At this point though, facing her uncountable second chance Quinn knew she wanted to give Rachel everything she had left. She wanted to give Rachel the thing she could never really give herself. And she would. She would give her a future filled with hope and love. She would take Rachel’s hand and never let go.
It might be selfish and no one had ever accused Quinn Fabray of being selfless.
If Quinn was going to sink into the unknown, she was going to take Rachel Berry with her.
