I think this is really well written Reese. It is atmospheric, and strong, but I can't say I like it! I don't like stuff that makes me feel uncomfortable and a bit icky. And this did those. Ok, a LOT icky. Very powerful!

Haha. Well, that's a compliment for sure. I was worried it would just be cheesy. So thank you!

Wow creepy!! I've heard of these life-sized dolls before. I saw a documentary once on guys who owned them. They all kind of creeped me out, but one that comes to life is even creepier!

I'm sort of fascinated by the people that would spend that much money on something that doesn't even look human but is meant to be a partner!

I wasn't even thinking about the Real Dolls though when I wrote this, haha.

This is a great start. I think in places it needed to be stretched out a little. Largely this is to do with pacing and building suspense.

(Ie, the bit about pressing a button to release the glass case could've stretched out to a paragraph, and so could the ending.)

The story structure is great. Introduction is attention grabbing, and the curiosity towards the Jenkin's Doll is peaked.

Brilliant.

Oh, I agree, but I was worried that it was already getting too long. Especially since people have over 200 entries to read right now, haha.

I like the idea though, and was thinking of expending it later on, when it doesn't matter how long it is, and making it a real short story instead of a quick entry.

Thank you!
