My Dad, my valentine

My philosophy for many years has been to treat today as celebrating Love of all kinds. Today I'm especially celebrating my Dad, who turned 92 today! I love him so much, and he's slowly fading away, as elderly Dads do

I know your dad appreciated the card. I know that I love it when my daughter remembers me. I cannot even find my way to erasing her text messages or voice mail messages.

Next year, my daughter won't be around for Valentines Day and every time I consider that she'll be in the Bay Area, I keep thinking about making impromptu trips down there and asking her out for dinner... or coffee... or shopping trips. The best job I ever had was being her dad.

Happy belated Valentines Day... and thank goodness that this week is soon to be over.
