ticket dismissed

Sep 26, 2004 16:16

yay! i got my ticket dismissed for "operating an unregistered motorvehicle"
costed me $95 to register the VFR, and $10 for the court fee. but getting it dismissed saved me some $110 dollars.

the lady at the county clerks office was nice as hell, and i AM THANKFUL for her...the office closes at 4pm, i walked in at 4:07 on my lunch break. she let me talk to her. also i had 12 days from the time of the ticket to get it dismissed. it was day 13. she went by the date on the reciept of my registration rather than the actual date i went i showed up. "all looks good to me" she said knowingly. she definatly roxorz my boxorz!

i also think there is a chance that your only supposed to be able to get *late* registration dropped, i.e. yuo just "forgot" to gte it done that year. whereas i simply had NEVER registered the bike at ALL. in fact, had false plates on it, when i got the tickets, so another thanks to the lady cop for giving me that ticket instead of false registration (jailable offence)

now i just need to figure out what my chances are of taking the advanced class biker class instead of defensive driving. here is the link to the school.

i suggest anyone who wants to ride, take the class. its well worth it, and if you buy a bike from one of their sponsor dealerships, they re-imburse you the cost of the class...sweet huh?
