i get up ass early to fight traffic, i get there on time, though, 8:30am
we watch a couple video's. we fill out w-4's, I-9's, and a few other things.
we watch a couple videos (sexual harrasment and discrimination) we cough up our id's and social security cards. its noon, and we break for lunch.
i parking lot where i took my motorcycle safety class is *right* next to my job, so for lunch i rode over there and practiced some of the drills we did, on the spray painted lot. they are alot tougher on my bike than the little 250cc cruisers we had back in class!
1-3pm. the recruiter goes over the employee handbook with us, section by section. a few of the retarded people* were asking too many dumb questions. it took too long, and it seemed to drag on forever.
3-5pm, actual training started. my teacher is a pretty cool guy, i should enjoy the next three weeks. we went over some basic things about the company, and what we do, and he showed us a couple of the tools we will be using. he let us go a few minutes early...
...i am going to get paid about $70 for all this...starting tomarrow in class i will start earning about $75 a day. im still baffled im getting paid this much to not really do a whole lot.
weirdest thing is...i think after about 90 days i could get a better higher paying job. alot of the people in my class have very little computer knowledge.
there are about 2-3 in my class who know as much as me. 1-2 who know more. there are 26 people in my class...so...they must be desperate.
*retarded people= employees on the metro pcs contract. too ignorant to pretend to know about computers. for some reason, they all seem seriously retarded. they get a buck fifty less an hour than our contract, im surprised they make that, but it seems my employer treats its employees well, though they are VERY strict about attendance/tardiness, etc... even my teacher mentioned that the other class (metro pcs) were "a *special* group of people"
oh, and this freaked me out...the *break room* was larger than the entire office of my old job. mark that, just the *seating* area of the break room, is bigger than the entire office of my old job, and im really not exagerating!
bleh, well i gotta go get a haircut and then hopefully ill get to spend some time with elaine tonite...
