I wrote a FF about Charlie and Claire from LOST. It probably won't make much sense if you haven't seen the show but yeah. It's lame and I wrote it at 1am.... so yeah.
Charlie lay awake thinking about his life years ago. He had survived a plane crash and was stranded on an island for five long years. It was a very mysterious island where lots of horrible things had happened, but Charlie was glad that he had been on that island. Everything happened for a reason and his reason was his wife, Claire.
At this particular moment Charlie was remembering something that had happened soon after the crash. Something that Charlie thought about very often. Charlie and Claire were beginning to get to know each other and there was definitely some chemistry between them. Claire had been attacked and Jack, the doctor, didn’t believe her. He had tried to put her on medication. Claire got upset and took off into the jungle to find her way back to the beach alone. As soon as Charlie found out what had happened he went after her. While on their way back Claire had started having contractions. They eventually stopped but then they ran into Ethan. Ethan took Charlie and Claire. Everyone tried to find them but they only found Charlie. Charlie had been hanging from a tree and had nearly died. For the few weeks Claire was gone, sometimes he wished he would have died. He told her he’d never let anything happen to her, but he couldn’t help her now. Finally Claire was found by Locke and Boone, wondering through the jungle alone. The only problem was, she didn’t remember anything. Not the crash, Ethan, or even Charlie. Charlie was of course devastated but very glad she was alive. He had to somehow make her remember him.

Charlie was sitting on the beach starring out at the waves in the ocean. That’s what he’d been doing for weeks now. Ever since they’d found him, but not Claire. Jack came running towards him but he continued to stare at the ocean.
“Charlie!” Charlie took his eyes away from the ocean for the first time that day. He looked up at Jack but said nothing. He hadn’t spoken since his return. Not once.
“Charlie,” Jack repeated, “Claire’s back.”
Charlie jumped up, “What?!” he asked not believing his own ears.
“She’s back Charlie.” Jack repeated.
“Where?” Charlie asked smiling but Jack didn’t return the smile. “What’s wrong? She’s not….” Charlie couldn’t bring himself to say it.
“No Charlie, she’s not dead. She’s fine but…” Charlie wasn’t sure why Jack sounded worried but he didn’t care. He was happier than he’d been his whole life. “Charlie, listen to me. She doesn’t remember Ethan or the crash. Charlie, she doesn’t remember you.” Charlie stood frozen.
“That’s impossible.” Charlie answered then added in a whisper, “peanut butter.”
“What?” Jack asked.
“Can I see her?” Charlie asked not answering Jack.
“Yes, but if she starts screaming…..” Charlie and Jack walked to the caves together in silence. As soon as they got there Charlie saw Claire sitting by the fire with a blanket draped over her shoulders. He wanted to run over and hug her but then she saw him and immediately started screaming. Jack ran over to her and tried to calm her down.
“It’s okay Claire. This is Charlie. Remember I asked you about him earlier?” Claire quieted down and nodded. Charlie sat down next to her “Remember me?” he asked stupidly. Claire just shook her head. They sat in silence for what seemed like forever until Claire finally spoke.
“I want to remember.” Charlie smiled his adorable toothy smile. He wanted her to remember to.
In the next few days Charlie tried everything he could think of to help her remember but nothing worked. He stayed by her side as much as he could. “We were friends?” Claire asked one day.
“Yes” Charlie said excitedly “You remember?”
“No, I can just tell. Thanks Charlie for staying with me. I hate to be alone.”
“You’re very welcome love. I’ll be here so much you’ll get sick of me.” Claire smiled her beautiful smile that made Charlie melt inside. He had never felt this way about anyone before. He had to make her remember but he had no idea how until one day….
“I’ve been craving peanut butter for a week now. “Suddenly Charlie jumped up.
“I’ll be right back. Stay here with Hurley.” Charlie then turned to Hurley, “Don’t let anything happen to her.” and then he ran off. He went to find the empty jar of peanut butter.

Charlie rolled over and looked at his beautiful, very pregnant wife. Claire had been pregnant when they had crashed and when she was taken by Ethan. Charlie assumed this was why he was thinking about the island now. She still didn’t remember peanut butter but every so often Claire would get a craving for peanut butter and Charlie always smiled, hoping she’d remember one day. He could hear her voice in his head, ‘I’m the only Australian who loves peanut butter.’ ‘I can get you peanut butter.’ he had replied.
Charlie suddenly popped out of his day dream as his wife began to stir. “Charlie,” she whispered, “can you get me some peanut butter?” Charlie suddenly had an idea. He ran off to the kitchen and took an empty jar out of the back of the cupboard. It was the same empty jar he had on the island. He had put it in the back of the cupboard so he’d never lose it. He ran back to Claire and held out the empty jar.
“What’s this Charlie?” she asked. Charlie just shook his head, “Nothing” He answered and walked out of the room.

Charlie ran back to Claire and Hurley with the empty jar in his hand. Claire just stared at him. “What’s that dude?” Hurley asked. “It’s nothing,” Charlie answered, “Just an old jar.” but as Charlie and Claire grew closer she noticed that he’d take the jar out of his bag sometimes and just stare at it as if it were his drug. Claire had her baby about a month after her return. Soon after Aaron’s birth he was taken but Charlie had brought him back. Aaron was 5 when they were rescued and for all he new Charlie was his father.

It was now a week after Charlie had brought Claire the empty jar. Claire was putting dishes away when she found the empty jar in the back of the cupboard. She tried hard to remember. She went to the backyard where Charlie and Aaron were playing.
“I’m gonna get you, you little turnip head!” Claire smiled.
“Dad, why do you call me that?” Aaron asked.
“When you were born your mom didn’t name you right away and your head,” he paused “well, it looked like a turnip.” Charlie smiled and saw Claire watching them. He walked over to her and kissed her softly on the cheek. “How are you love?” he asked. Claire smiled and raised the empty jar she had in her hand that Charlie hadn’t seen.
“I remember imaginary peanut butter.”
