I agree. I shall quote a website I came across.

"Let's face it. Smoking a cigarette is cool. All the activities involved are stylish and chic. Cupping one's hands to light a ciggie. Tapping the packet before taking one out. Contemplatively blowing smoke out the side of one's mouth. Taking an aggressive draw. Tapping the ash to show nonchalance. Stubbing out a cigarette to finish an argument.
Even standing around outside, swapping jokes and cigarettes is a good networking tactic."
