Sometimes, it can really piss me off as to how a religion such as Catholicism takes credit for other religious holidays. For those who don't catch my drift, Easter was not originally a Catholic holiday!

Exactly, you honestly think the Catholics were smart enough to come up with the idea of a rabbit and an egg as a symbol for Easter themselves? Hell no, how much you want to bet you ask any hardcord Catholic the meaning behind the rabbit and the egg, and they won't have a damn clue? After all, rabbits don't lay eggs. It's the symbol of fertility, but I guess they just use it as a cute childish symbol for the holiday instead of having to explain to them that's it's 'supposedly' the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus.

Francis, aka, Amadeo here:

Easter, a goddess of Fertility.

Let's not forget the true reasons behind All Souls Day and All Saints Day, both correspounding to old Nordic Traditions, oh, and Christmas Tree? A druidic thing. Catholicism did a popular thing, they took days that had significant meaning to other religions, like December 24th did to Zoastorists and said (let's stick with our current example) "Hey guys, look at that, our Messiah was born on the same day! He must be the same guy! Convert!"

It's polotics at it's finest hun.
