So, I've heard that Morrissey is refusing to play gigs in Canada because of their continued partaking in the brutal seal hunt. He openly compares it the Holocaust. I was reading some of the comments in that LJ community. The majority of them were being assholes about it and then someone pointed out that the worst thing happening to them is missing a concert vs another living being getting clubbed to death in the head. Aduh. And they're calling Morrissey ignorant...

That's interesting. That's actually really cool, pretty extreme though huh? I mean, ALL canadien products? Some people bust their ass in factories to feed their families and at the same time probably disagree with seal hunting? what is boycotting their products going to do? and who's actually going to do it? I think he should find a better method. I think he's quite a stiff as well for not playing gigs there, the least he could do is play gigs their and maybe give lectures and speeches to his fans and they can take action in their own country and do something about it, instead of him just shunning the country entirely. I actually dont like morrissey now.
