an update of sorts

It's quiet in the house.
I just fed Kat and Logan and I can hear the tortoises eating their hay. I feel good when I see our animals doing well, it makes me feel like I accomplish things, is that weird?
We talk about animals all the time. I think Andy wants to have a large plot of land someday to farm tortoises for the pet trade. That would be pretty ( Read more... )

I'm really really glad for you about embracing the idea of polyamory, I think in general, the queer community is a lot more accepting and positive about it than the heterosexual community so honestly, finding queer women that are cool with you situation shouldn't be terribly hard.
I really look forward to spending time with you next week! :D

I love when you talk about your animals. You should post pics of some of them. I really want to get a tiny turtle someday. Like one of the wee ones that are illegal in some states, and give you salmonella. :D They're the cutest things ever.

Ahem.

And... the bisexual thing. When you think about it, the whole marriage deal is totally outdated and illogical for our times. Really, it was invented in a whole different time and it's not even about love. Marriage was invented basically for the purposes of property and money. In a day and age where people don't marry for money/property any more, it's ridiculous. So really, any thing you and all involved parties feel cool with is cool. I don't think I could let my special person also be with someone else, but that's because I'm totally insecure in like every way. :) But personally I wouldn't have a problem being with more than one person, and loving them equally, or whatever. Really, you're lucky that you're with someone who's willing to let you be yourself.

I don't think I qualify as a community, but I do support you. :-)

Human beings are complex social and sexual creatures; women, especially, seem to have a vast and varied inner world when it comes to desire and fulfillment. I am glad that you and Andy both seem to understand this and are working together on fulfilling each other's needs in a healthy manner, which very well might include other people!
