Cooked out at Rhoads's. Aiday had a blast swimming. Matt and I talked about religion and philosophy for like two hours. He has a B.A. in Philosophy and is atheist and I'm Mormon, so you can imagine the conversation we had. It was good. I enjoyed it.

Erika and I acutally got to go out on a date last week. We had our first ever Honors College Semi-Formal. At first I wasn't sure if they were going to let me bring Erika because it was supposed to be for honors students only. The biggest news of the hour is that I, for the first time in my entire life, have a valid drivers licence. That's right. I'm 25 years old and I took my drivers test this morning and passed. It's sad, but at least I have it now ( Read more... )

I went to the ER this morning with a temperature of 105. They gave me an I.V. and anti nausea medicine. I feel better now.

So I guess the Beatles where right

Money doesn't buy happiness. I don't need a scientific study to prove it to me, but it's nice to see that there is real evidance.

I feel bad for people who do turn to money/materialism for comfort and self assurance. The only real joy in this world comes from within us. The source of that joy comes from God.
