Is it natural to change your opinions and feelings about someone so quickly? I had such strong feelings regarding JC, was so certain of those feelings too, and they have quickly disappeared without a trace in the space of time that has elapsed since our ‘discussion’ (i.e. the one where our relationship, whatever kind of relationship that happened

Sounds like you made the right choice.  Needs were not being met.
