I tend to love slice of life stories, slow burns, happy endings, silly things (not to be confused with crack-y things. I enjoy weird and crazy shit, but that's not really what I'd like for this Yuletide), etc. I basically read fanfiction for my happy buzz. If I read h/c fic, it's because it's been recced to me as "I know it hurts a bit here, but it WILL get better and there's DEFINITELY a happy ending." Most of the prompts I put down for Yuletide and try to explain here follow this logic. I just...want happy things, please.
If you’re feeling up to writing NC-17, I would be THRILLED because I always enjoy some delightful sexytimes for my favorites. I am not a fan of the super extreme kinks--e.g., scat, watersports, necrophilia, etc.--but I do enjoy kink. There’s honestly very little I don’t like. Thrilled, as I said, but certainly not required. :)
Dragonriders of Pern - Anne McCaffrey
Provided prompt: Harpers Ho! - Elgion, Menolly, Piemur, Robinton, Sebell
I love me some harpers, negl. I'd love to see any kind of slice of life fics here. Elgion comes back to the hall (maybe he's done at Half Circle? Maybe it's just a visit? You decide!) and spends time with Menolly. Maybe they became friends after the fact because holy crap, they really are terrible, help? or like. just because she saw him one day looking disgusted, and decided to be friend him. Or maybe you can tell me what a Day In The Life Of Masterharper Sebell looks like now that there's kids, his job, and the promise of no thread? We never got to see much of it. Does Piemur ever spend any time back at the hall? Basically, any combination of these guys, however you want to do it would make me happy!
NC-17 version - I was somehow always delighted by the thought that Menolly and Sebell made room in their relationship for Piemur.
Further Thoughts - I suggested harper hall because i have so much addoration for it, but honestly, the bottom line is that I really like stories about the characters that we don't see enough of and/or got shortchanged on things. LIke...T'Gellan and Mirrim! how did they wind up getting together? Piemur and Jancis got their ish together, but...? Half the fun of fanfic is filling in the stories that are missing, and I'd love to know what you think a good one to tell is!
Sorcery of Thorns - Margaret Rogerson
Provided prompt: Let's imagine for one minute that we get to have a completely happy ending. That Elisabth and Nathaniel get to have a long, happy life together with a few kids, maybe, and Silas is there, bugging them, protecting, and teaching munchkins table manners. And then that's threatened somehow, possibly a demonic attack that injures silas badly or something. ...tell me about it?
or like. give me slice of life? maybe some h/c (but please lean into the "c")
Further Thoughts - I mean. Like. There's no way we're going to ever get any kind of fully happy ending, but that's why fanfic exists, right? I like me some happy endings, and I would love to see at least something remotely happy for someone in this series. But honestly, I'd be just as delighted with Genfic, so. y'know. run where your conscience takes you.

Further thoughts - Well, I don't have a whole lot more to say... What was life like for Stinger knowing that Jupe was his queen? (i mean. that's what I got from that whole bees scene, and I firmly believe it) What happened when Jupiter eventually introduced our favorite wolfboy to her family? Caine got his wings back, but what then? I'd love for you to pic a direction and run.
The Old Guard (Movie 2020) RPF
Provided prompt: Oh man. I mostly just really want these dudes being buddies. Kiki, Charlize, and Veronica have a girls night sleepover! Chiwetel and Luca happen to be in the same city, so they go out one night! Marwan, Matthias, and Luca plot to surprise Kiki for her birthday! Just give me them all being bros shenanigans...
NC-17 version: ...i think you can see where this goes, right? Don't have any particular preference, though as much as I love Harry Melling, I...would rather not have him in a sexy situation with any of these guys.
