i don't think it was wrong for you to go through his phone at all. if he is doing something behind your back, then i think you have a right to know about it. like you said, you are always open and honest with him, so if he is not always open and honest with you, then you have no choice but to invade his space. you really shouldn't blame yourself for this at all. i am really sorry things are like that between you two. :( i hope that you two either find a way to work past this, or if things can't be resolved, that you find the strength to move on. i'm really sorry things suck right now. *hugs*
