It may be contrived to say it's bad but God says it's an abomonation.

Steve was simply saying with his post, "People should not be murdered for being gay."

Matthew Shepard was brutally murdered just because he was gay. Why is it that people who disagree with homosexuality immediately tout that line whenever we even bring him up?

Agree or disagree: Should people be brutally murdered because they are gay?

Oh... and God said that? I thought it was just Paul (and don't even go into the Old Testament, we both know that it doesn't hold much water when it comes to specifics). What did Jesus say about homosexuality...?

My original post was a little tactless when you think about an innocent person as the victim of a hate crime. My original motivations were not to disrespect Matt S. in any way. But I also wanted to voice my concerns about the way this message may be interpreted.

Homosexuality may be a smaller issue than divorce or adultery or capitalism, but it is homosexuality we are talking about. We are not talking about the implication of my concerns, to ask me “if you’re so concerned about homosexuality, why are you not concerned about these other issues”. This parallel argument gets us off track. We could argue days and days about this. My only question is: do you think homosexual sex is a sin?
